Vicky Devine is one of the leading female Trance DJs to break out of the UK, with her successful career taking her all over the world and which led to her becoming the weekly main room resident at one of the most popular and well known nights in Ibiza….Judgement Sundays. Vicky Devine’s success as a DJ and Producer is growing year on year gaining amazing support and recognition for her talent and ability from leading DJs such as Judge Jules, Marco V and Sander Van Doorn.
Vicky has been involved in music in some capacity throughout most of her life. Reaching Grade 6 in Piano, playing classical guitar and being a member of a singing group throughout her school life, she was quickly enticed into the dance music world at the age of 18 and has worked within the industry ever since!!!
Beginning as a club reviewer and interviewer for Dream and Eternity magazines, she then went on to dance on stage and work in various promotional roles for a number of UK based events. There was always a DJ inside though and she was soon behind the decks spending hours after college learning how to mix. This coupled with her passion for music, endless enthusiasm and perseverance has helped build her career and has made her one of the most promising female DJ’s and producers in the current dance music scene. As a result Vicky has gone on to wow fans in the UK, and indeed around the world with a reputation built on her uplifting yet driving trance sets – although versatile Vicky is just as recognised for her house sets as well. Playing at numerous nights in the UK including Gatecrasher, The Gallery (Turnmills), MOS, Pams House, Slinky (Westfest Festival), Escape (Swansea), Passion (Coalville), Tranzaction and on a worldwide level including on the SLINKY Asia tour in Singapore and Kuala Lumpur, the SMIRNOFF EXPERIENCE tour in India and at clubs in Canada, South America, Mexico, Indonesia, Malaysia, Dubai, Australia and New Zealand to name but a few. Her dedication to the scene and her performances worldwide have not gone un-noticed, and in 2008 Vicky was voted 5th in the Best Residents Category in the well respected Trance Awards Poll powered by Trackitdown.net.
Over the years Vicky has been a regular guest at many top nights in Ibiza and this eventually led to her gaining a weekly main room residency at Judge Jules’s massive JUDGEMENT SUNDAYS night at Eden (2005 - 2009). Playing both the warm up and close down sets at the busiest night in San Antonio has meant her playing regularly alongside many of the leading names in todays trance scene including Judge Jules, Eddie Halliwell, Sander Van Doorn, Marco V, Richard Durand, Ferry Corsten, Marcel Woods and Sean Tyas to name but a few. Not Forgetting also Vicky’s other huge summer residency at Majorca’s superclub BCM for her own night – “Angels of Funk”. This has now been running for five years and has made Vicky the first ever female DJ to hold a long standing residency at this incredible club. In addition Vicky is the main resident DJ and promoter of the most successful all female DJ event to date – “Charlys Angelz”. This has completed nine successful years out in Ibiza at which Vicky has played each and every one! Both her Angels of Funk Brand and her Charlys Angelz brand have been involved in numerous tours throughout the UK and indeed the world. .
On the production front Vicky has also seen success. She had early productions as part of collaborations released on Infectious Distribution (“Sweet Asylum”), Solar (“Angelz”) and F Active Music (“Fearing Nothing”), before moving onto working on solo productions and developing her own sound. Her first solo production – “Entravanse” – was signed to Drizzly at the end of 2005 and released in March 2006 on their Illuminate sublabel along with a remix from DJ Andy Bagguley. The track was licenced to four compilation albums, received excellent reviews in IDJ, Mixmag and M8 magazines and received support from some of trance’s top music jocks including a play on Radio One’s Dave Pearce’s Dance Anthems. Her second track entitled “Echoed Kisses” was also released on Drizzly’s Illuminate Records with a fantastic Paul Kershaw Remix as was her third "Eternal Dream" with remixes by Paul Kershaw and Ian Betts. Both achieved similar success with plays on Radio Ones' Dave Pearce Dance Anthems, MOS radio and Galaxy to name but a few. Echoed Kisses was also recommended tune of the month in IDJ and had fantastic reviews in Mixmag. Vicky then moved onto her first remix project, remixing Solstice’s“Edge of the Ocean”. The whole package was subsequently signed to Insatiable Records - label of trance giants Solarstone - and her remix was widely supported upon general release. This was followed with them signing her next solo track “Silver Whispers” with Nick Rowland mixes. Silver Whispers went on to be supported by Tiesto on his Radio Show and Podcast, Christopher Laurence, Ernesto and Bastian, Ronski Speed and was again played several times by Dave Pearce on Radio One. Her next track - "Shape Up" was signed by the massive Recoverworld Group and released on their Flux Delux label (June 2008) with an incredible remix from Trance man of the moment - Paul Miller. Again Shape Up was supported in a big way throughout the music industry with several plays on Radio One and support once again from the likes of Tiesto. Her follow up - "Facing The Truth" with Danny Powers Remix- also released on Flux Delux (Feb 2009) received some of the greatest support to date with plays by PVD, Ernesto and Bastian, Aly and Fila, Manuel de Saux, Lee Haslam and was February 2009’s top tune in Solarstones chart and radio show. Vicky’s next release - a collaboration with fellow lady of trance Claudia Cazacu and aptly called “Glamour” - is due for release on Spinnin’s Sublabel Reset Records and has already received support from Gareth Emery on his podcast, Sean Tyas and Simon Patterson. Her forthcoming solo release “War of Souls”, also due out shortly on Flux Delux is also gaining support from some big hitters in the industry including Lisa Lashes, Lee Haslam and Simon Patterson. She has been busy in the studio as always so watch out for these releases and more over the coming months.

Most recently Vicky launched her own radio

The show is broadcast worldwide bi-monthly on Slinky.FM In addition Vicky has been involved in television work with Balearic Babes (Rapture TV), with an Australian production which included Vicky interviewing DJ Tiesto at Ibiza’s Cream Closing Party at Amnesia, Ministry of Sound TV and Living TV, and most recently as the main presenter for WTFI. She has also had guest mixes and interviews on Judge Jules's BBC Radio One Show (June 2009, August and April 2008), Kiss FM (2008), Heavens Gate (2008), Eddie Halliwell’s BBC Radio One Show (F2007), and on Judge Jules’s Global Warm Up show (2006), not to mention on several International Web Based Stations to include ETN, Heavens Gate Radio Show, DI:FM, AH.FM and Ministry of Sound.
‘Vicky has been our Judgement Sundays Ibiza resident for three years, and never fails to ignite the crowd. Her music style and persona behind the decks are second to none.’ - Judge Jules.
‘“Vicky Devine is definitely one of the reasons why I enjoy DJing at Judgement
Sundays in Ibiza so much, its hard to find a DJ who can do a proper warm up set without taking anything away from the music I want to play in a club. I have stayed around to hear her closing set and it has just as much impact as her opening sets. If I was a promoter I would want her
involved in my night!” - Sander Van Doorn.
