From a very early age Victor L showed interest in music and everything connected to it.
In 1989, this passion for music opened the way to his first contact with decks and learning to mix. However, it was three years later, when he became a partner of Aktuel Café and Cenktral Discoteca in Leiria-Portugal that he actually saw himself as a DJ and played dance music throughout the night at these places. In this way, he followed the evolution of the dance scene. His value was soon recognized and he was invited to take part at several events in the centre of the country (which were rare at the time ).
In 1997, Victor L left Aktuel and Cenktral and opened his own club house the Monarquia House Café where he was resident dj and which was undoubtedly a major showcase in making his talent as a DJ well known.
The Monarquia became a new musical philosophy and was one of the clubs which contributed more to the change in the direction of night life and which spread the culture of dance and DJ-ing throughout the central region of the country. At the time, this musical approach was not easy to implement, but his work was acknowledged throughout Portugal. Thanks this leading role, he was invited by the agency Extra to be part of their roster, and later, by Feedback and then Deltara agency. At present, he is working as a personal manager. From those early days to today, Victor L has been spreading happiness and joy on the dance floors of the best clubs and at the best national events Locomia, W, Hard Club, Alcântara, Maré Alta, Rocks, Enseada, Algarve Páscoa, Dance in Douro, Electroparade, Atlantic Beats, Festival do Tejo, Carl Cox and Friends-Montemor-o-Velho Castle, etc... - sharing the show bill with the major national and international DJs DJ Vibe, Mário Roque,Alex S, Angel Moraes, John Creamer, Carl Cox, Eric Morillo, Plasticman, DJ Hell, X-Press 2, Kenny Hawkes,Mylo, Dimitri From Paris, Dj Yellow, among many others. At the same time, Victor L has been developing his work as a DJ and musician with several other musicians - Mário Dias ,Nicinha , Otis, Camané, Hugo Menezes, João Gomes, etc...from which Moviensound originated - a project of music and image interaction consisting of 4 elements: 1 VJ (João Pinto Lux), 1 percussionist (Hugo Menezes Cool Hypnoise), 1 rodes and fx (João Gomes Space Boys Cool Hypnoise) and 1 DJ (Victor L). They have performed several times, for example, at Casa do Castelo in the Algarve, Festival do Tejo in Cartaxo, Xannax, etc.
In 2000, Victor L was invited by Radio Central Fm, Leiria, to head a 2-hour mixed music programme this was when he made his debut on radio with the programme House Café.
In the production field, together with Djazzy, in 2001, Victor L launched a remix of an original by Alex S (Ladies First) edited on the Moda 21 compilation CD, which included tracks by producers such as the well-known Bob Sinclair. He has currently been producing several themes, one of them including lyrics and voice of Nicinha, who also participated in several hits, such as the famous Musica Feliz by Rodamaal .
