About me: I woke up one day when I was 13 and had diabetes. I went to high school and college whilst taking 6 shots a day of insulin. Then I got into a band and toured a little. I had 8 laser surgeries on my eyes to stop them hemoraging. Totalled 2 cars from low blood sugar. Then I suffered through kidney failure, awaited death, and was told to write a will. On New Year's Day, 2002, I received a kidney and pancreas transplant that cured my diabetes and saved my life. I have learned that life is short.
I grew up in Long Beach. I remember playing gigs with Sublime at CSULB's Nugget and Toejam's, seeing Beck at Bogart's with a leafblower, working at Midnite Espresso, and thinking Long Beach could make for a very important musical and cultural scene. Has it?
I started deejaying because I had 3000 cd's that I had to share with people. I have deejayed at Cheapshot's, The Pike, The Bull Bar, Que Sera, and Alex's Bar.
