About me: DJing since mid 1995, X-Static has been one of the biggest influences
and contributors to the general appreciation, discernment, & popularity of
breaks in Denver as well as throughout the state Colorado. Even through
times when it was popular to dis-like breaks in this city where the scene
was formulated on and had a predominate affection for house music. Even
though music has always been an important avocation and major influence
in his everyday life, X-Static had no structural musical training or knowledge
of such prior to DJing. Due to his determination, attentiveness, meticulous
attitude & technique, & probably a little obsessiveness, he was able to
self-teach these things which gave him an unequivocal comprehension of
music. And as any good DJ should be able to do, he analytically applies
that knowledge to the conceptualization of his DJ sets and his musical
production. Additionally X-Static understands the undiminished role of a DJ
as an entertainer which enables him to take a crowd for a musical
rollercoaster ride. X-Static coetaneously understands the role of a DJ as
an artist as well, and since the artistic aspect is one of the primary
motivating factors for why he started DJing in the first place, you should
probably look elsewhere if you are pursuing say a DJ for your wedding or
school dance. But if your pursuit is of a DJ who will rock a crowd with
correlative musical tastes as his, neither you nor your perspective audience
will be disappointed with X-Static's performance. His diversity, skill of
execution, futuristically fresh & catchy yet dark & gritty sound, and the
ability to perfectly mold all of it to his unique style, definately set him
apart from a lot of other dj's and producers, and will have you yearning
for more. X-Static's main goal in music is to "take sounds and peoples
minds to another level". Combine all of these factors and the end result
is sure to make your ass shake, and your mind elevate!!!
