D’lyla K. Ravyn
Publisher/ Artist/ Poet/ Merchant/ Crafter
Born in Chicago of Hispanic /Potawatomi decent, my writings have appeared in print for over ten years in various books, zines, and newspapers. A self-taught painter specializing in surrealism and mystical themes, I've been a featured artist for numerous art festivals and galleries in and around the Chicagoland area.
In 2005 I founded 5th House Press and published “Urban Life Through Ancient Eyes” and “Poets & Alchemists” the following year, both recieving nationwide reviews and sales. Samples of my art, writing, and book projects are on this page.
I'm also a merchant selling Gothic, Medieval, Pirate, Fantasy home decor and gift items. If you have an event that fits these themes, I'd love to be a vendor at your event, just send me an email.
Its amazing how much easier life gets when u stop resisting and trying to controlling it, Don't try to hang on! just let go! if you should fall the ground will catch you. oxox -FT
There is a peace more like a prayer as if Nature is calling me to become part of its world. That can only be understood by the soul. Something I have forgotten yet like a distant bell reminding me to come back home.
To have had the opportunity of making your acquaintance, like so many. How can I forget but now more than ever wish to find you? How long will I wait in this place or must I follow the stars.
Yet this is your story, it must and so as best as I can will listen and hear you speak. Maybe from a distant planet or the little creatures that awakens during the night and sings your song.
You are everywhere. Under the stone, behind the clouds, in my chest and it is there I will find you.

I dedicate this writing to the men and women who have come before me or that are alive (Guy Finley) and their students. It is thru their Courage that is showing me to discover a new life.
Inspired by the book, “Apprentice of The Heart,” written by Guy Finley and the music CD he produced, “Door of My Heart.”
Ps_ Thanks for the friendship. Have a beautiful Sunday night.
Sunset in the horizon Another day ready for rest Orange light blaze backdrop Silence, beauty, reflections… Before we say goodnight Peace, love breath of fire Has been laid Time to close those warm solemn eyes And with tired lips, kiss the world Good day.

""""Money don..t make my world go round I..m reaching out to a higher ground To a warm and peaceful place I can rest my weary face Life..s answers we try to find Battling inside our minds Where do I go from here? Will all my friends be there? The pressure..s on I have to choose I've got nothing to lose I close my eyes I take a chance Now I dance a different dance.""""
