Hi! Just wanted to make sure all my friends know that my 2nd horror novel SACRIFICE is now in stores everywhere, including Amazon.com! I hope you'll check out this debauched and demonic horror ride! Here are a couple reviews it's gotten so far:

“SACRIFICE is a full frontal assault on your senses. It is a dark, brutal, bloody and terribly frightening book. Everson went deep into some dark abyss to bring this book to the light of day.... I highly recommend SACRIFICE.”
    —Famous Monsters of Filmland

“John Everson manages in SACRIFICE to dispense buckets of blood, provide edgy perversity, and walk the tenuous tightrope of horror and sex without falling: It’s rather an amazing feat.” –Hell Notes

Hello! I'm making sure my MySpace friends get a chance to see that my three, done-in-one comic book short stories are now discounted as a set at http://www. Aazurn. com, including Xeric winner "Jazz: Cool Birth!"

If not for the overwhelmingly positive reviews on all three, I wouldn't have the guts to use our friend space for a shameless plug, but here's a chance to save some $, or at least have a look.

    Happy 2009!

Twas the day after Christmas and not a creature was stirring
Neither monster nor mouse was munching within this house.
Naught held dominion within this abode except for the spouse.
Grim determination and splendid accord, the wheels a' whirring.

A monstrous machine would be built and from this day forward
All will bow down to this terror-laden device not of their own accord
Machinations within schizophrenic deviations and devilish plots,
All that remains is the tick, tick, ticking of the demise left but to spot.

Cardboard, cardboard, what's on this cardboard?
Is it a wish, a wellness, a thing I should hoard?
Is it a thing, a toy, a collectible unnumbered?
Is it a place, of warmth, a thought unencumbered?
Is it a time, friendly and quiet, a happy thing?
Is it a cookie, chocolate chip, a song to sing?
Regardless it's name, I name it true
It's a Christmas wish from me to you!

Season of rot, season of not, this time of lukewarm or hot
Filled with joy, filled with fear, this time of horror or cheer.
Tumult and cataclysm, mirrored by passion and stability
Spilling the pavement with splatter and noise and the color red.

In the end no meaning is clearer, no message more sincere.
Without regard to seasonal salutations, this message is true:
To enjoy what has been gifted to and received from you!
Hail and well met, ye of the gathering Apocalyptic Doom!
The end is nigh, as it often is, this evening
    The Night After Christmas!
Wear it well - the moment is near!
    That moment is HERE!

    Trick or treat
    Smell my feet
    Give me something
    Good to eat.
    Like your brains.......

    'Twas the night of Halloween
    And all through the house
    Every creature was stirring
    Even the mouse.

Naught much more was to be said
All the monsters were fit to escape
Even those that were certainly dead
Wanted to play with the giant ape.

And here we all are now
    Awaiting the last doom
    Everything is all ready
    Even the silent tomb.

    Peace.
    Post.
    Poetry.

Happy Halloween and have a hell of a good time!

Hey, my MySpace friends, TODAY is the day! Don't miss Xeric winner "Jazz: Cool Birth," in September's Previews order book at comic shops today, under Aazurn Publishing!

Because "Jazz: Cool Birth" is inspired by '50s album cover design, transporting readers into 1957 jazz clubs, we're hearing interest from musicians and music lovers. Since "Jazz" is a murder mystery, mystery readers are also intrigued. Add to that comic book readers that enjoy Xeric grant winning indy books and we expect a rush of orders from September's Previews.

So many readers like you are enjoying Aazurn. com's done-in-one comic book short stories we are encouraged to continue to offer single story books! Thanks for helping us prove comics can be good, adult reading!
