David Marshall, being raised predominately in the Midwest was born a dreamer, always being driven towards goals bigger than himself. Even early on, he was meant to perform. As a 6 year old he rallied family members around a script he proudly wrote as a "new" adaptation of Peter Pan. Casting brothers and cousins, he persuaded them to get into character, learn the script, and put on a show. It was those early beginnings that sparked him on a journey towards his passions of connecting with people, making music, and inspiring others.

Three different states and many experiences later David eventually landed in Nashville, TN to begin his current adventure.

"The whole time making this EP, I just wanted to be able to look back and be proud, and I am. It's something I would want to listen to even if I didn't write it, and I feel as if the themes and topic matter speak to the place my generation and I are at in life.

"The title track, Running With No Heart, is basically about living life the way we are meant to live it. We are so conditioned growing up to follow a certain formula, do this, do that, be busy being busy, and at the end of it all, life should be great. But honestly, there is no formula, or box to check in life. So, I guess that's what this EP, the songs, this new journey is all about; following my heart, running with it, not without it, and hoping others jump on the bandwagon and do the same."

David's debut EP, Running With No Heart, is a great example of Pop music that incorporates specific and personal lyric content with catchy melodies, rhythms, and programming. There is at least one song on this new release that even the most particular listener can't help but admit they enjoy!
