I would Like to take this opportunity to allow you to know me a little better ... I have been a writer of both music and lyrics for nearly over the past three decades...Beginning at the age of twelve in 1964 in a small local town... In the sunny valley of Pomona, California. You are probably wondering why I use the name DMC? Well I can for certain in one thing explain, that it is in fact my name. At the age of only twelve, I was well on my way in the beginning as most, creating my first band the Young Lad's. Until fourteen. I was already touring, after being discovered by Val Star, our press agent of Teen-Scope. Then equivalent of Rolling Stone Magazine. In and around our practice sessions from our garage, as we were on break at the time. Allowing the recording machine, to fill in as we plugged in to our amps that could be heard for more then a few blocks away. Hank Stewart was our manager then, along with the sister of the past, "Kingston Trio", of:(Pomona High) all the way to recording our first 45 disc. Playing at the local J-Teens local school dance hall, to my later years at the many night-clubs from LA to Ontario Canada. How it originated that is my name I mean, well I am not for certain myself in "rap-ore", or what is referred to as "Rap", is a bit of a surprise to me as well. But it is a fact; that nothing of what I am about or ever has been, as writer, and musician, does much for Rap, or can say that Rap is what I'm of or about ether. I do believe that it is only an opposing set coincidences and nothing more, and beloved the first true addition originated from just that mere coincidence Re: short of my testament of fact being born, it was in the early 1970's when the De Lorean was built thus DMC Deloren Motor Corporation of Ireland, that failed after the convection of; the Owner, founder, and CEO was arrested for the sales and possession of cocaine, then to be listed in history as one of the infamous afterwards in the 80's and beyond. Was at about then by same association with a the known drug cult lord related to the alleged Deacon, in his Master of Ceremonies in later becoming RUN DMC, It is not that I am certain and it is also known these same Initial's derived were the Deacons actual Initials as well, or by his own acclaimed heritage. Or if it was in my own wee-bit better truth in judgment, being just another jest from Erv, or Sundance, at the time "There's DMC" ... "Always on the Run" of my then group American Rescue, when Eddie Halen, as I, would show up for sets from these same early years during my rave reviews at Marty's also infamous Walter Mitty's. As it was then when we were just doing sets as were many others in those beginning days along with Eddie Van Halen, before they were ever discovered or known mostly doing local birthday parties or anywhere else they could plug in. They as I and other many locals as Motley Crue; also Michele Finley, with my same drummer Dana Green, who later did fare well in there album STRANGERS BED all along the circuit and down the way from the: Troubadour downtown in Los Angeles to as far as the east coast of Montreal Quebec, at the Elmer The Rose Palace, along the waysides and coffee houses that line the market around Ottawa, Ontario of Canada.
