Movies
I love Disney movies, old classics, well-made dramas, genuinely funny comedies, and musicals. Here are but a few examples: Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Beauty and the Beast, It's a Wonderful Life, Gone With the Wind, all Harry Potter movies, all Matrix, Godfather I and II, Fried Green Tomatoes, Thelma and Louise, Driving Miss Daisy, It's a Mad Mad Mad Mad World, Lilies of the Field, 2001 A Space Odyssey, Dead Poet Society, Civil Action, Wall Street, Wag the Dog, Harold and Maude, Neverending Story, Grease, Drumline, Amadeus, Ice Age, Ratatouille, Finding Nemo, Lion King, Dead Man Walking, Ben Hur, White Christmas, Singing In the Rain, the first three Star Wars, Gandhi, Wizard of Oz, Klute, How the West Was Won, The Bucket List, Pink Panther movies (with Peter Sellers), Rocky Horror Picture Show (in theaters), Oliver, and Silver Streak. Right now I think I may like to watch James Cagney doing "I'm a Yankee Doodle Dandy".
Television
I love Amazing Race and American Idol. I do watch Survivor, America's Got Talent, and some of the dance shows. I enjoy all CSI's, NCIS, Numbers, Three and a Half Men, How I Met Your Mother, Family Guy, House, Fringe, Without a Trace, Cold Case, David Letterman, Ellen DeGeneres, Big Bang Theory, Law & Order Special Victims Unit, Brothers and Sisters, and Jeopardy. I like watching sports, parades, concerts, and fireworks on TV, too.

Books
I just finished reading ""L" is for Lawless", which means I am in the middle of what I like to call the "alphabet series" by Sue Grafton. I like both fiction and non-fiction, both novels and short stories, and travelogues.
Heroes
God is my hero and I am grateful for other heroes He has added to my life, especially my partner Edie, my parents, my brother, my family, and all my wonderful friends. Other heroes include inspirations in my life, such as Maya Angelou, Melissa Etheridge, Gandhi and, on the more local scene, George Goneconto. I believe that He gave us Mother Nature to help make this world be the wonder that it is, music to transcend all things, and the ability of all to be loving and caring.

About me: Hi! Welcome! I'm so happy that you stopped by to visit. Let me tell you a little about myself...I am, according to what most people would say, of a mature age and I don't mind that at all. However, don't let my age fool you! I'm still very much young at heart and enjoy a lot of the same things I did when I was younger. Maybe, in a way, I am still 29! I have a wonderful, loving partner in my life, and we live in a town that has been declared the most patriotic town in the country. Matter of fact, Independence Day is a huge holiday here...the parade is the oldest in the nation. Fourth of July around here is a season that begins on Flag Day, complete with holiday decorations, pageants, a carnival, contests, concerts, and fireworks, and I love it all! I very much enjoy interacting with people, but there are many times I like to be alone, just to relax, to explore, to work on something, or to think. I do admit that I am a thinker, a dreamer, and often an analyzer, yet I do try to keep my feet on the ground, keep an open mind about things, and not be too judgemental. In addition, I love music. Songs may entertain me because they sound good enough to listen to and dance to, but music is also a universal energy that connects me to spirituality, nature, emotions, humanity, to all the arts, life, and to myself. Well, I think I've pretty much said all that I wanted to say, except for saying thank you for stopping in and visiting. Oh, and feel free to drop by again.
Who I'd like to meet: I'd love to meet people who have love in their hearts, who embrace all that is good, and who appreciate life. I especially enjoy meeting and knowing people who accept diversity in life instead of denying or criticizing it.
Hey Donna.....Thank You for all of your nice comments! They sure do make me feel good and lift my Spirits. I hope all is well with you and Edie. John is doing better as each day passes. Lots of Love to both of you!
