Bio
Born in Nishni Novgorod, Russia, Dmitry Suslov belonged to a family of musicians which caused that he was soon into music. He started to play the piano when he was 5. At the age of 14 he began to play classical drums which he studied first on Balakirev–College, N. Novgorod, and later on at Glinka-Conservatoire, N. Novgorod. Getting more and more into jazz music he started to play the saxophone turning 22. After moving to Germany in 2002 he started to study jazz at Institut für Musik Osnabrück with Volker Winck. When he finished his diploma he decided to move to Leipzig to continue his studies at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater "Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy" with Michael Arnold and Johannes Enders. He is currently involved in several bands and projects in Leipzig as well as in Osnabück, Hannover and Berlin.
