36 Crazyfists, All That Remains, As I Lay Dying, Atreyu, Avenged Sevenfold, Bleeding Through, Dark Tranquillity, Disturbed, From Autumn to Ashes, Haste, Ill Nino, In Flames, It Dies Today, Killswitch Engage, Lamb of God, Misery Signals, Mudvayne, Odd Project, Papa Roach, Sinai Beach, Smile Empty Soul, Spineshank, Taproot, Thrice, Trivium, Underoath, Unearth and many other metal/hardcore/rock bands out there have inspired us musically with Death Marked Love or just within our own instruments as well.
So, it all started out a whille ago. Erik K. (vocals), Aaron K. (drums), and Bryan C. (guitarist) started out Death Marked Love writing a song called Misery. Erik got the name from Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet (it was a line in the prologue). After about 2 to 3 weeks Bryant (guitar) and Evan (bass) joined the band. Bryan was ousted, and Bryant and Evan became the new ones to the band. We starting writing songs immediately. Songs we wrote with the new Death Marked Love were This Blood My Heart Bleeds, Your Tire Spins As Fast As My Heart Beats, Words Without Meaning, and tried to write a new guitar to Misery. After some time, Bryant wanted another guitarist to be in Death Marked Love so, Trent was added to the band as a lead guitarist and Bryant became the rhythym guitarist. With Trent now added, Death Marked Love began to get much better sounding songs with two guitarists. Songs like Flawless Revenge, What Shall Become of Me, and Valentine were added thanks to Bryant. Trent got his hand at writing with Blood Child, the guitar for Misery, writing guitar for a new song And Yet, and also making up another guitar track which is currently up on our myspace. As the summer rolled around and progressed we played a couple of shows. Our first was at our old guitarist, Bryan's house and then at a house party in Murrieta. We then finished up our garage demo and began selling that at the local mall for two bucks. Near mid to late summer, we went into the professional recording studio to record our first E.P.- Blood Child. We decided on recording Blood Child, Flawless Revenge, and Words Without Meaning becasue those were some of our more diverse songs. Nearing the end of the recording sessions, the band began to have problems. Everyone felt that Bryant, the rhythym guitarist, did not have the drive to continue in this band. Erik and Aaron had problems with him showing up to practice in the past, Evan and Aaron felt that he was trying to control the band as a whole, and Trent didn't feel that Bryant wanted this as much as the rest of Death Marked Love did. Bryant was kicked out of Death Marked Love, and they had to go back into the studio to re- record all of the guitar parts. But now, they are almost done with their E.P., although it will be pushed back a couple of weeks. We will keep you updated, and thanks for your continued support.
