About DISEASE

Been making music since 9 learnt Cubase back to front when I was 15 and generally just making beats in my home project studio ever since. Started with an obsession with metal and playing in a metal band, I still try to let this influence my electronic stuff. I like keeping it hard and distorted with a lo-fi crunch, I would rather use hardware over software and don’t mind a bit of hiss in my music. I love tubes and distortion effects but I find that both digital and analogue techniques have their place in electronic music and there is no point in arguing over which is better. I want to cover some new terrain on the planet of music which is the biggest challenge of all. Squarepusher, Aphex Twin and Chris Clarke etc.... have just about scoped every musical innovation possible. Yet if you look at a street level; Grime, Dubstep etc... there is always a spark of originality there. I’ve found that these genre’s are having a bigger influence on my style all the time. Still in the experimental stages my music has evolved a lot over the years dabbling in a large array of styles to find my own e.g: Hip Hop and Rap, Psychedelic Nu Skool Breaks with Dirty Thieving Mongrelz and playing and recording as a musician.
