About me:
I am the Des Moines Wild West Music Fest. I am being held on June 30th and July 1st. I am a family friendly event with several national, regional and local country and alt country acts. You could think of me as a "next big thing" festival. Our performers this year include Rushlow Harris, The Wayword Sons, The Moonshine Runners and Boggy Depot on Saturday the 30th and The Bastard Sons of Johnny Cash, Back Porch Mary, Jared Wilder, She Swings She Sways, and John Anderson of the Moonshine Runners. I still have a few more performers to line up, so check back often.
I will also have a lot of other stuff going on. We will have a lot of side shows, such as a re-enactment group, a wild west shootout show, a medicine show, street fights with gunslingers, and fireworks Saturday night! There will be rides and games, many food vendors as well as other merchants with all manner of wonderful goods that we didn't have back in the old west, and some that we did.
Ticket prices for this event are as follows:
Saturday: $15
Sunday: $10
Two Day Pass: $20
Children ten and under: Free
Show a Police Badge, Fireman's badge, or a Military ID and get one free admission.
Plus, a portion of my gate money will go to set up three scholarships for three deserving high school students hailing from a police, firefighter or military background. It's my way of saying thank you to the great people who help protect and serve our country. Come visit me, The Des Moines Wild West Music Fest on June 30th and July 1st!
