Los Angeles, CA – Hip-hop artist Luc of DNA Records has told fans they can be on the lookout for a new album. Non-fans are welcome, too – the “non” will disappear after they hear “Who Knew” and its hot kick-off single “Comin’ At Ya” featuring Topp Ghunnzz and produced by Drow for Darrow Productions. “Comin’ At Ya” serves as a warning and a messenger. As the leading single from the album, it’s a representative of the kind of potent hook-slinging, groove-laying and rhyme-making of which Luc is capable. If you like this, the song seems to be saying, get ready for more. It’s full of Luc’s signature style, his own distinct delivery style, his sense of beat-building and his lyrical impact. “It’s definitely a great way to start off,” Luc says. “The beat is bananas – shout out to Drow! The rest of the album will feed off that momentum.” The tune is a fine opportunity for Luc to show off his unique sound, the introduction to an album of which Luc declares, “The tracks go from Point A to Z and it’s a magical ride!” Luc has been at it making music for a decade-and-a-half, collaborating with such fellow rappers as DNA Records’ J$. In fact, J$ contributed some of the production work to “Who Knew.” Besides the new album, Luc also sent out his soundwaves on the recent DNA comp “Blood, Sweat and Headphones,” contributing to several tracks on the CD. Luc has performed extensively on stage. Luc’s current focus is on his solo career as well as producing, for himself and other artists, and he is pursuing musical work in television and film. Luc is now working with A&R Select, the premier A&R firm based out of Los Angeles, CA.
