hello myspace mates, introducing / Mc Spooka - a Drum n Bass MC based in the South East (Ramsgate, Kent). he started MC'ing at the
age of 13 when he stopped playing football professionally for Chelsea schoolboys, however - he didnt write any lyrics until year
2000 / 2001, which is when he started to take it seriously. he just used to write lyrics for his mates in the area, as time went
on he realised that you have to write lyrics that can be aimed at different crowds of people. he started to MC in house-parties
and other gatherings in and around the area, from that point he quickly became one of the best MC's in the region. 2003 / 2004
/ 2005: he was introduced to the studio (Pie Factory Studio, Ramsgate) by the MC named H20 - where he really started to become
a versatile artist as well as an MC. he found out that he could flow to all sorts of beats, not just to DnB.. he produced a DnB track titled 'quick miracles' which used a Mampi Swift sample, he sent it to BBC 1xtra early 2005 - the track then went on to be picked for the 'cutting-room' competition. 'Quick Miracles' won the contest with flying colours, and went on to get air-play on 1xtra as well as his own copy pressed to vinyl by the 1xtra team. After winning the cutting room competition, he was invited up to the 1xtra studios to show off my lyrical skills on Apr 19th 2005 for the first ever 'MC Sessions' show. he was chatting back to back with Dynamite, Eksman, Jakes - with L Double on the decks.Hes had bookings in the kent area. (Flexin Tuesdaze, Cue Club, South East Explosion, Feedback, Unleash Da Bass as well as local house parties and events..) 2006 onwards: he released an EP "complicated conversation" independantly in 07.Aso in in 07 MC SPOOKA was a supporting
actor in the internationaly acclaimed "exodus" which was released in
19th nov o7 c4.
MC SPOOKA is also a resident on cyndicut fm 97.8.
