About Deadly Night Shade

Deadly Night Shade started to form when the three founding members Jussi Taskinen, Petja Puumalainen and Jussi Karjalainen started playing together, and before long Jussi T. started composing his own songs, and after a few instrumental sessions at some parties, Jussi K. was given the task of coming up with lyrics.

After some gigs and a very limited run demo, under the name Deathrain, got good feedback from the public they decided it was time to fill the lineup with a proper bass player and drummer. Kasperi Puranen, a friend of the three and a great guitar player in his own right, joined as the bassist and in winter 2006 Aaro Lappalainen filled the line-up. At this point the band was pretty much reborn and got its current name.

Sadly Kasperi was eventually too busy with his studies to be a full-time member, so he was replaced with Aku Korhonen, another fine guitarist, in 2007. Now the band has more time to practice and the sound has improved vastly, more gigs are coming and new material is on the way.. Stay tuned!
