In a small student flat in the summer of 2004, Tarjei Nygård and Ottar Langåsdalen met up and, with the help of turntables, a sampler, some synthesizers and a sequenser, made dobbelmono. Guitarist Espen Kåsa joined shortly after, and made them sound more like a band. Almost 2 years later, in January 2006 after a jam session, bass player Simen Solli Schøien invited himself to a try-out with the band, and it worked out perfectly!
During 2006 they made a dobbelmono EP and did a few gigs, and in the fall vocalist Caroline Ingeberg joined in. The band was more complete than ever...
dobbelmono is an electronica band with influences from jazz, hiphop, funk and pop. Each of the bandmembers represent their own genre, but their eagerness to ifluence eachother makes dobbelmono a combination you`ll never hear anywhere else...
