We are DOBERMANS UNITED. We are a California Bay Area group that is dedicated to the socialization and responsible ownership of our dogs. One of our biggest goals is to challenge the public's perception of the Doberman breed. We believe that education about the breed is key to show the public that they are not the vicious man-eaters that the cinema portrays them to be. Our actions, in collaboration with the Doberman Pinscher Club of America-Northern California branch strives to ensure that this majestic breed is not targeted in Breed Specific Legislation-which could potentially ban the breed in many areas. Our group meets monthly and plays. We focus primarily on building a sound Doberman through ongoing socialization. A properly socialized dog can be placed in a myriad of different envoironments and maintain a cool, collected demeanor. As such, our dogs regularly attend community functions and act as ambassadors for the breed.
Due to recent events, Dobermans United regretfully announces that all members with unaltered males over the age of 9 months will only be able to participate in group activities on an approval basis. We want to keep our meet-ups friendly and most importantly safe for everyone, humans and dogs alike. If your dog will be affected by this new measure and you would like to request a consultation for attendance or have any concerns/questions, please contact Dobermans United. In addition, Dobermans United holds no legal liability involving the meet ups or its members. It is the sole responsibility of the owners for any damage or injuries inflicted by thier dog. Please be aware of the seriousness of the situation and respond accordingly by ensuring the continued training and socialization that is essential to dog ownership. Please No Agressive Dogs.
Who I'd like to meet: Dobermans who want to play, swim, hike, and join us on all sorts of fun adventures!
Hi all, Here is a great event for those interested in working their Dobermans especially those living in Nor Cal/Bay Area. Anyone attending should walk away learning a good amount.
