Your sweetheart just left you, you just missed your flight, and your pockets are empty, but somehow you know its gonna be fine.
Doc Dailey's love for music grew out of a giant pile of 8-track tapes which were left over from his parents short stint as rack jobbers, keeping 8-track vending machines stocked in truck stops around the Southeast. He would spend hours digging through the boxes, unearthing and digesting sounds as diverse as Led Zeppelin, Conway Twitty, and The Jackson Five. Though neither parent played an instrument or was even particularly fond of music, they unintentionally sparked a love affair between Doc Dailey and music that has no signs of dying down anytime soon.
At 14, Doc received his first guitar as a Christmas present and after a few days, began composing original songs. Throughout his teen years and early twenties, Dailey played with several bands made up from the large talent pool of tight-knit local musicians living in, and around Florence and Muscle Shoals, Alabama.
Doc Dailey now travels the world and shares his tales of Alabama's rough-living, trials, and tribulations with as many people as possible. Sometimes solo and sometimes backed by a revolving cast of North Alabama's finest musicians, billed as The Dixie Hellbenders. If he hasn't already been through your town, you'll be seeing him soon........Ya'll come on out to the show!.....
