Who I'd like to meet: All you Bulldogs from Class 98.... And especially those that served on Student Government...........
Any spirited Bulldogs that want to help make this reunion happen...........
I can't tell you how good it was to see everybody all grown up, smiling, dancin, with partners / babies - wow
I got all kinds of pride about this 1998 - Purple and White business - and what makes it so strong is how much every individual in the class makes up such a mighty impact on their own and as a collective - this is just the beginning...
Thank you to Miriam (and the fam), Jamie Lynch, Mark Matsui, Joel Sanders, Jasmine and Talia for keepin the dance floor crackin' as always - everyone else who helped -and everyone who came / donated / wrote even if you couldn't come, etc.
I was thinkin - it would be extra fresh to have an annual party in the Summer just for people to stay connected more often - I don't think I can wait so long to see y'all again.
Ive told who i could and i resent out the evite to those that I have emails for. Not sure who is all comin but I hope to see as many 98 grads as possible. See ya Sat
See you all Saturday night! Don't see very many names I recognize though. HMM, maybe it will be like high school all over again. Me standing in the back unnoticed! HA! :D
Anyone who sees this, please pass my regards along to the rest of the class. My wife and I are in Europe until July. I hope everyone is doing well and I know our class will be strong enough to do another reunion in another decade. Everyone I have run into through the years is just as successful as I would have predicted back in the day.
Much love to the planners of this event, and I am very sorry to miss it.
Ari Melber - Mr. Z stopped deejaying in 2004 - he now is a fulltime emcee and tap dancer. Sorry to be the messenger of bad news to you - but two of the freshest DEEJJAYS around - DJ Soul 1 and DJ Mark Sense are rockin' for us on Saturday at the Spit Fire -
and for Friday June 20th...

Regarding Friday the 20th - I am planning a Soul / Funk concert ft. many alumni players from the G-House and various talented artists
- I'll give y'all an update soon - just working out some contract stuff for the event. I could potentially even reserve some upstairs areas in the venue for GHS heads who need their Friday fix (it's also the 1st official day of Summer - i.e.: "Summer Soulstice 2008")...
I like Stan's (aka Ace Black's) idea about a hotel spot for the after party / late night tip for the hard core Bull Dog squad kickin' it that Friday (Joel - is there any potential budget for that???) - I will keep y'all posted about that.
Mark Matsui has been gettin some great work done for the Sat night event (thanks, G!) - we got to get him a GHS hoody for his work...
talk to y'all soon - have a beautiful Mother's Day Weekend!!!
Yeahh.. What's up with something for Friday Night.. I'll Be flying into Town That Friday and Wanna get the Party Started Sooon as I TouchDown.. What's a Good Centralized Hotel Down There?
wha up my fellow classmates....whats up wid a party on sat night.....or maybe even friday....(homies night) who's house we goin too....LOL see yall soon!
Soooooo.. Anything yet on a club where we'll have the party at on saturday night? Let me know so i can try to see what i can do on my end.. I cant wait to see all you bastards :-) i mean it in such a niiiiice way.. lol.. Anyone got word on my Highschool Crush yet?? where she been at?? lol..
Brunch is gonna happen. And there will be more time for people to decide if they want to partake. Julie Philalay Do will be sending out an email/bulletin soon with more info.
We are trying to reach out to every alum!!! So, if you know a 98 alum that has not heard, tell them about the reunion, and then tell them to tell other alums they know.
In fact, the best thing you can do is volunteer and help us with outreach. Email ghs1998.10year@gmail.com to join the reunion committee. The more people we have helping out the more effective we will be getting the word out to all.
And yes, the email list has lots of alums not on Myspace or Facebook.
Hey, we have an email list that we send out updates to. The same updates we post as bulletins on myspace. We will be sure to add any new names to it. Sorry if any names were not added in the past. Email us at ghs1998.10year@gmail.com to add your email to the list.
"When 95 is dead and gone, 96 will carry on. 97 will think they're cool but 98 will always rule"
I'm glad to see the contributions filling up. Are people that aren't on myspace being contacted? I know some people who requested to be on the email list but haven't received any emails.
Also, if we're partying saturday night, I think it would be cool to keep it open to the public, or at least at the latter part of the night.
I've talked to some individuals in my life who don't go to their High School Reunions for various reasons - ???
I feel blessed - not only am I going but I am proud to be part of a class with so many talented people. 4 Real - 98 is NO JOKE!
Mark Matsui and myself have been involved in the NW entertainment scene since 97/98 and we are currenlty communicating with various clubs to work angles / deals, etc. to get a crackin' environment for our celebration that Saturday night.
With Mr. President (Joel Sanders) support and all of the fundraising / planning / class-wide support going on - I have faith that our weekend will truly be classic.
We may even have to have a 2nd BBQ on Sunday up at Peppie's Park (32nd and Yesler - The District) for those who can't get enough of that Purple and White Madness - IT GOES DOWN IN 00OOOOOOO EIGHT, BABY!!!!!!!
cant wait till the date.. do we have some activities planned yet besides the bb'q.. i'd like to see a lil concert or something fun.. do we get a formal or something like all the tv shows i've seen with their reunions? i wanna let all my crushe's know how much i used to like them.. lol.. ha ha..
If we reach our goal, there should be no cost at the events. If we don't reach our goal, which of course we will, those who donated will not have to donate again.
