About me:
I tell a lot of stories. Then I forget who I tell them to. I think I'll make a great old man. I used to be a stand-up comic, a tree farmer, an accountant, a math whiz, a marketing agent, a radio personality, and a handyman in The Bahamas.
Currently I'm a club DJ (drum&bass, funk/soul/disco and downtempo/lounge), promoter extraordinaire, and world traveler. I also make a damn good stir fry, superb omelettes, and acceptable borscht. And now I'm a cardiac surgery assistant. Heart surgery assistant and DJ: damn, I need to get myself a superhero cape!

No Jacket Required, my Drum&Bass weekly, is over.
In late June, Stick 'Em Up!, my bi-weekly collaboration with Nikolai Soudek, took another hit from the out-of-touch clowns that own Macri Park, but of course the management hired us back, and after your support with a brief protest, we're back to playing the hip-hop and house you desire along with the funk, disco, afrobeat, uptempo lounge, jazz, reggae, rock, and more you've come to expect!
We've even got BBQ in the backyard, and added another DJ. Stick 'Em Up! is now Natural Born Grillers, every other Sun at Macri Park, 5pm till midnight or later. We've added DJ Carsonne to the roster, and we occasionally drop in a special guest or two. Our champion grill-master, Grilly Dee Williamz, serves up hot BBQ, both meat- and veggie-friendly, and all of his creations are free with any drink purchase. Join us for some backyard BBQ fun and help us teach those old folks how to party!
I am represented by Paradigm Lab Recordings, the Bassbot Sound System, and 35 Mt. Hood Productions.
I have been a club DJ for 8 years. I spin all styles of drum&bass, funk/soul/disco and downtempo/lounge. I am a spoken word vocalist for 35 Mt. Hood, and a budding commercial voice artist in Manhattan. Please listen to the 'Brock Burkett' master reel, hosted through PDR Voice Coaching.
