Welcome to the home of Doctor Fonda- a highly charged Alternative Rock band from the UK bringing a touch of darkness and intensity to the British Music scene. DF's sound is hard to pin down owing to its depth and variety, however it has been likened to Muse, Tool and The Cure with the odd touch of Avenge Sevenfold and RATM thrown in for good measure.
DF would like you to get involved- if you like what you hear, spread the word, join our mailing list and help us to stay in contact with you.

"Not afraid to think big, Doctor Fonda play unashamedly epic rock, large in scope and ambition. The inter-twining guitars and Jon Diss' clear, open-throated vocals lean to the dark Gothic end of metal, all cathedrals and pine forests, although there are roots in English folk-rock here too. Many of these songs stretch over five minutes, moving from pastoral vistas to seas of mighty churning riffs- a lot to take in, but hypnotic nonetheless. Stand-out tracks include the complex, driving guitar showcase The Right Side Of Wrong and the rumbling, bass-heavy The Chemical Solution."

"Happy to bring a bit of their own darkness to the Hastings music scene..Dr Fonda's atmospheric sound and relentless gigging has seen them forge a growing fan base in the region, and attract interest in the capital."
FIERCE PANDA, Dec '07
"..interesting leftfield rock ideas .. with some nice guitars and heavyweight metal outbursts."

"I came accross Doctor Fonda via Myspace. Not sure how, ...... it just happened. I liked what they were about before I realised that there was a Hastings connection. Doctor Fonda are one of those local bands, one of the few diamonds amongst the local 'staffy' dog poo of prog rock, blues, folk and pub rock, that look set to gain a reputation way outside of the locality itself. Much as Children On Stun did some years back, they have garnered a worldwide reputation in a relatively short space of time and look set to make a go of it. And, that's good enough for me. You can find out more about Doctor Fonda and listen to some 'choons' at: Doctor Fonda Myspace Site"
INDIESTORE OF THE DAY: DOCTOR FONDA, cmumusicnetwork, April'07
"You know how we are prone to give an extra listen to bands who hark from Greenwich / Lewisham cos that's where we live (hey, admit it, you all do it - at least we admit it)? Well the good news for those bands outside the SE post code is that sometimes, just sometimes, team CMU go travelling, and when we do, our geographical musical bias moves with us which is why today I'm tipping a band who hark from Hastings, that being where I was yesterday. Doctor Fonda are possibly a bit louder than you might be expecting given their home town, though I imagine Hastings was pretty loud the day of the battle. Anyway, these four are making what you might call alternative rock - though it's not just noise, there's plenty of impressive guitar playing to back up their rock attitude. There are plenty of tracks to preview and/or buy here at their Indiestore. They've just been signed up to US A&R firm Big Noise Now - I've no idea what that means, but they seem to hope it means big times beckon. Whether it will be BNN who deliver the big break I don't know, but with a growing repertoire of songs this good, they can't be unsigned for too long. Go see them now before the big times come."

Hastings alternative rockers Dr. Fonda are set to play at Islington’s notorious Carling Bar Academy tonight (Feb 21).
Invited to play by the Jar Music Group, the band will be performing in front of various industry folk in the hope of furthering their musical tenure. And with the respected Fierce Panda label paying an interest in Hastings’ finest, there’s a definite sense of good things to come for the band.
For moral support, the band is taking a bus load of fans up to the showcase, which acts as way of sourcing artists of the future.
