Hey there! How are you? Thanks for dropping by. I go by the name of Doctor G. I am 37 years of age, and a resident of Toronto, Canada. I'm also a graduate of the "Media Fundamentals" and "Broadcast Radio" program at Seneca College. I'm currently working behind the scenes with Toronto's radio station 104.5 CHUM FM on weekend nights.
Music Bio about me.
As a child growing in the 1970s and 80s, I was influenced by a diverse cultural environment. Having done this, it allowed me to grow with an enthusiam for music.
My love of music led me to appearances as a DJ at the local hot spots in London, Ontario. My inspirations are DJs David Morales, DJ Magz, DJ Scam, 4 Korners, Mitch Winthrop, Jake CHEC of Club 246, Radio hosts Darren Osborne of 98.1 CHFI, CHUM FM's Taylor Kaye, CHFI's Michelle Butterly, Shadoe Stevens, Dick Clark,and Casey Kasem. My accomplishments have included guest appearances at the "Toronto Pride Events", The Harry Potter book 7 opening at Indigo Books and Music, autograph signings at Chapters Festival Hall, featuring popular names as Brett "Hitman" Hart, and the Tralier Park Boys I've made appearances at different clubs, and event centres. I now hold a resident In-store DJ position with "Roots Eaton Centre" location in Downtown Toronto. They have a DJ booth in the store, and I play weekends for the customers. Yes, you might be asking, "Why does Doctor G have this Culture Club on his MySpace"? Well, I'll tell you. It was in the summer of 1982. I first heard it on the radio. Something about it that was unique, yet rhythmic. From that point on, it's been one of my "Feel Good Favorites". A Mr Justo Roteta, a resident of California, and a huge fan of "Culture Club" sent his feedback through Amazon.com. He says, "Time (Clock Of The Heart)" was a heavenly musical marriage of Brit-Pop, Philly Soul and Adult Contemporary...and a truly definitive and undisputed classic slice of '80s Pop. It brings back many memories, and takes you back to a time when all was (compared to today) right with the world. I totally agree with him. This track is from Culture Club's debut album "Kissing To Be Clever. Love It, Love It!
