I love the outdoors. Just getting away with maybe one or two good buds and camping. Nice open fire. Sleeping bag under the stars. Hiking. Kayaking. Canoeing. Jumping off of cliffs (into deep water). Biking. Playing guitar. Helping people...hey, I'm a nurse.

Well I was child of the 80s. Music is SO much of who I am and aspire to be. So far as the bands go, everything from Sleeping at Last to Aqualung to Willie Nelson to Dashboard to Coldplay to Weezer to Snow Patrol to Switchfoot to the White Stripes to Kings of Convenience to Ben Folds (Five) to jazz greats like Stan Getz. Shall I go on?

I do like the Nick-at-Night flashbacks like Good Times and the Cosby Show. The Wonder Years was an old fave. Winnie...wow. You guys know what I'm talkin' about. And still a kid at heart...cartoons (for the most part) entertain me.

Reading is like anything else beneficial to your over well-being that is generally neglected, but greatly beneficial when put into practice by choice. My most recent reads have been: The Life of Pi by Yann Martel, On the Road by Jack Kerouac, Blue Like Jazz by Don Miller, The Ragamuffin Gospel by Brennan Manning, To Kill A Mockingbird by Harper Lee, The Man Comes Around (The Spiritual Journy of Johnny Cash) by Dave Urbanski, and The Divine Romance by Gene Edwards.
