Hakkımızda DrJAU & THE PEANUT VENDORS (NEW EP=NEW TRACKS!!!)
La composición de este disco ha sido paralela a la creación del sello "The Golden Singles Records"y puedo decir que es la banda sonora de un proceso en el que personas y canciones hicieron familia, de ahí la rotunda sinceridad del encabezamiento del álbum: Dr.Jau & Friends.
Una amalgama de sonidos jamaicanos (y no tan jamaicanos) en los que conviven el sonido clásico del SKA de los 60..s y el SKA-JAZZ de los 90..s, REGGAE, ROCKSTEADY, SOUL , DUB, ...en un disco en su mayoría instrumental en el que hay cabida para algún interesante experimento del laboratorio del Dr. Jau en forma de SKA DOMÉSTICO versioneando un clásico de BILLY BRAGG y para el DUB FILARMÓNICO con cuarteto de cuerda incluido.
El resultado de esta convivencia de estilos y almas en seis canciones es un viaje río arriba, romántico y algo canallesco, como el barco que recorría el Mississippi y reunía a tahures de todos los puntos del mapa... gente de la talla de KI SAP/THE SHAKE IT UPS, GAIA DUB SINDICAT, MALARIANS, SKAKS, MANIATICA, PURA MANDANGA, THE SKAFEÏNATS, COURT JESTER..S CREW,... Esa milicia del Kingston Europeo son los PEANUT VENDORS, compañeros de viaje en la grabación y en vivo, ensalada de talentos con cuya implicación y amor se hizo posible la idea.
Ahora les dejo disfrutar del experimento con la sensación de saborear un trabajo bien hecho tanto en el proceso como el resultado. Riesgo en tiempos difíciles.
Yo me alejo tarareando la melodía del manisero...

The composition of this album has been parallel to the creation of the label " The Golden Singles Records " and I can say that it is the soundtrack of a process in which people and songs did family, of there the round sincerity of the heading of the album: Dr. Jau and Friends.
An amalgam of Jamaican sounds (and not so Jamaican) in those who coexist the classic sound of the SKA of the 60 .. s and the SKA-JAZZ of the 90 .. s, REGGAE, ROCKSTEADY-SOUL, DUB... on a album in the main instrumental in that there has fitted for some interesting experiment of the laboratory of the Dr. Jau in the shape of DOMESTIC SKA cover of the BILLY BRAGG's classic and for the PHILHARMONIC DUB with quartet of string included.
The result of this living together of styles and souls in six songs is a trip upstream, romantically and some kind of bastard, as the ship that was crossing the Mississippi and was bringing together gamblers of all the points of the map ... people of KI SAP/THE SHAKE IT UPS, GAIA DUB SINDICAT, MALARIANS, SKAKS, MANIATICA, PURA MANDANGA, THE SKAFEÏNATS, COURT JESTER..S CREW... This militia of the European Kingston they are the PEANUT VENDORS, companions of trip in the recording and live, salad of talents with whose implication and love was made possible the idea.
Now I leave them to enjoy the experiment the sensation of savouring a work well done so much in the process as the result. Risk in difficult times.
