The story of Doctor Sax started more than 20 years ago when a group of hippies just arrived from Goa, took a place along the Murazzi area in Turin to go on having parties after their indian journey. After many esoteric mystical
happenings, a man called Fiore bought the place and put it up as a
public space where to start his activity. DOCTOR SAX was officially born!
From that day on, it became the place in Turin where to dance and have
fun until midday. During the nineties DOCTOR SAX has been the temple of black music. As soon as the third millenium rose up, two djs, SIMONE CORDERO and ANDREA FROLA along with the two new owners NADIA and WALTER, decided to turn DOCTOR SAX into an after club of electronic music where techno,house and electro were the genres that soon took over, turning Sax into the first well-known afterhour in Turin.
Now it's the place where to test new ways of making music, open to any
kind of influence and thinking.
The new crew nowdays is composed by GAMBO (resident dj and art
director), ANDREA FROLA, ALBI and GIGIO. During this time Doctor Sax
began to develop a minimal house sound hosting many djs like: Pheek, Barem, Fusiphorm, J Haze, Marco Carola, Alex Smoke, Dario Zenker, Funzion and Dilo, Miskate and Someone Else, Adam Bayer, Stacey Pullen, Krakatoa, Jambi, From karaoke to stardom, K.Atou, Touane, Kasper & Papol, Jorge Savoretti, Alex Neri, Davide Squillace, Ion Ludwig, Xpansul, Seph, Andrea Ferlin and Matteo Spedicati, Cesare vs. Disorder, Marc Antona, Minimono, Ryan Crosson, Mikael Stavostrand, Sammy Dee, Tobi Neuman, Onur Ozer, Karotte, Hugo.......
