Dr. Z's Experiment describes their music best as, "A unique talent of the group is the ability to go into a free vocal jam at any time, switch instruments inside of a set, or make spontaneous segues from the middle or end of one song into another song, or something totally new," states guitarist and lead vocalist Ryan Phelan.
You can expect that these musicians will escape into a meditative internal state, a state in which they can hypnotize the audience with their devolving sounds. Dr. Z's Experiment comprises the elements of jazz, reggae, Latin, funk, hip-hop, and Afro-beat.
Dr. Z's music can be found on KUNI and KCCK radio. CDS are for sale at shows, and the CD WAREHOUSE." For booking information, contact Ryan Phelan at 319-521-1814 or J.T. Yenter at 319-365-1218.
