About me: I am very happy to be working on some projects with the most wonderful musician, Blu. I am making a documentary on him, and one of the other projects includes the fact that to also help you get a little bit more of an up-close and personal look at him, i started blu-recordings.com (with some help) and i manage that site as well as its MySpace profile which i made at MySpace.com/blurecordings.
Blu is not easily summed up, but for one thing, his having already written somewhere around over 340 songs is one of the things that makes him truly remarkable.
Blu has tons upon tons of exquisitely hilarious songs, many many songs which are rather touching, and his songs which fall inbetween that just plain rock. So many great songs coming out of Blu is almost unexplainable. While Blu taps into music to write and perform it in an extraordinary way, he feels that the music also taps into him, in effect making Blu a musical instrument himself.
The extent of my praise may sometimes embarrass him, but I am far from the only one who knows him to be a living legend. He's the best!
While you must exercise a bit of patience with blu-recordings.com, we will steadily continue to have more online--and regardless, Blu can easily keep you entertained with the variety of content he puts on his own profiles (myspace.com/banjitarblu and myspace.com/guitarblu).
In modesty, Blu finds some of the photos i have chosen (for the ladies and the artistically inclined, e.g. close-ups of his tattoos and face) to be just a little silly, but I appreciate that he is being a good sport about this for me since i happen to be fortunate enough to be his friend in addition to the fact that we are working together on some things. However, while Blu possesses a fair amount of modesty, he is not timid. He and I both enthusiastically know that he is capable of entertaining all of you with many, many great songs, so stay tuned and enjoy! Much much more to come!

Our friend Gene Eller has documented Blu with wonderful film and audio recordings. Check out this footage from 1995 -- outtakes from the new Guttermonks documentary by Gene Eller, Susan Eller, and Ted Dias. This feature-length (8mm) film is about underground nomadic artists, and has been part of their "Blu on the Bayou" presentation which has already toured parts of Arkansas and Louisiana. If you are interested in presenting a screening of the film, you can click here and leave a message for the filmmakers with myspace.com/coldgoin .
During the last year we were doing a benefit to raise money for a scholarship in the name of a local 14-year-old girl who will killed in a car accident. During this huge event at the Olive Garden, our PA Sound system fell on the floor causing it not to work. Since then we have not had one and need to get a new one to do more events like this.
Real Muzic is a student radio station and money is very tight. We do many charity events throughout the year, and school seminars to get kids into the exciting world of broadcasting.
Please donate 10.00 or more through paypal to help us get to the 300.00 mark. All we need is $300.00 USD for a system that would normally be 600.00. A local music shop is taking care of the other 50% to help us.
All we need is 30 people from around the world to help us reach this goal. In return, Justin, and the staff of Real Muzic Radio will continue to make communities better in our back yard, and around the world. Thanks.
Please donate to paypal email: radiojustin@hotmail.com
I wanted to drop you a note to thank you for taking the time to listen to our music. We appreciate the gesture and are grateful that you enjoyed the material enough to add us to your community of friends. After all, having people connect with our music is why we do this. I hope you'll come by often to say hello and let us know what's happening with you, and when you have a spare moment, please visit our CD baby page http:/cdbaby. com/cd/crosstimbers there you can listen to more of our music and find out more about us. All my best and thank you again, Matt (the bass player) Cross Timbers
Thanks for the add! In the news…last Tuesdays Pop Go the Beatles episode on Real Muzic Web Radio set another record. According to Justin, Real Muzic's station manager: “WOW, week one broke records on our radio station, it drew over 50,000 listeners from all over the world. We had our regular listeners and many cool new people. Week two had so many listeners it bogged down our server and booted us off the air. We were back up and running quickly and the listeners were still flooding in. Thank you to Woody for such a great show, and for spreading your rare collection of Beatles material to the world.
Next Tuesday’s (9:00 PM EST) called “Sgt Pepper Exposed” on www. myspace. com/realmuzicwebradio promises to be even better as creator Woody Lifton calls it “My best effort for the best album ever”.
According to reviewer Jim K. “I’d just like to say that I received Episode #2 “Sgt Pepper Exposed” and I was amazed. The show contains alternate takes and interviews that I hadn’t heard before (and that’s saying something). Paul makes comments about John being pushy in the early days as to the order of songwriting credit, obviously a bone in the craw for Paul, since they made it big, which shed even more light on the recent flap over this. George Martin takes you through the making of Strawberry Fields & Penny Lane in great detail as he sits by the console and pans through the different vocal, instrumental and percussion tracks on the songs. All in all I was thoroughly amazed and glued to the speakers”.
Don’t forget to listen to another great episode of Pop Go the Beatles this and every Tuesday night at 9:00 on Real Muzic Web Radio www. myspace. com/realmuzicwebradio Last week’s show set a record for the number listeners at the station, let’s see if we can break that record. This week’s show is called The Beatles 1964 Fantasy Concert as we bring you 18 incredibly high quality songs recorded in concert from Paris, Washington DC, Philadelphia, Australia and the Hollywood Bowl. As promised this week’s program will be interactive as Woody will be available to answer your questions via Myspace’s IM forum. Check out the show’s NEW & IMPROVED website at www. popgothebeatles. com and while you are there check out the review of the show that appeared in Ear Candy Magazine. Here is an excerpt: "I can honestly say that Pop Go the Beatles is probably THE best Beatles radio series that I've heard - especially from a Beatle fan's perspective and what THEY would expect from a Beatles show" Or just click on the banner below,
