Just me: * Cold mornings.
* Cloudy breezy chilly days.
* Sunny and cool and colourful spring days.
* Scrutinising the way people walk.
* Waking up early, laughing at the weather, and talking to the sunrise.
* Talking to myself. (Obviously I don’t often realise when I’m doing it.)
* Making faces at myself in the mirror… (Obviously I don’t often realise when I’m doing it.)
* Dancing in the rain.
* Singing in the shower.
* Reading an enthralling book in the shade of a big tree on a windy day.
* Writing ... when the urge comes to me.
* Reading other peoples’ essays.
* Having wholesome discussions with others.
* Watching scary movies, whilst trying not to be scared.
* Analysing movies during and/or after watching them. (I do it automatically.)
* Sleeping in class.
* Wandering music shops and book stores, fantasising about what I would buy if I had the money.

If you have time on your hands, please have a listen to some of the unsigned bands who are on my Friends List. Most of them are pretty damn good and they'd really appreciate the exposure. Cheers.

Heroes
I was going to name Homer Simpson as a hero, but I realise that he is quite a lowlife. He is stupid, and helpless and out of touch of reality, which his family continually have to bring him back to. When he learns lessons for himself (which are quite admirable themselves), he forgets them. His main purpose as a character is to be laughed at, and only endearing for his undeserved innocence. This, as well as the fact that he is the main character used to satirise contemporary society, are the only reasons why he has survived today as one of the most popular cartoon figures today. Still, you could say that I admire his resilience and versatility: look at all the adventures he gets into, and all the experiences he’s had. He’s an undeservedly lucky man.
I greatly admire Lisa Simpson, because she is intelligent and observant. She has a strong sense of morality and a great value for life, as well as an enormous capacity for understanding. Also, she largely sticks by what she loves and believes in (excluding more recent episodes where she’s gone very OOC), and despite being the biggest nerd in all of Springfield Elementary, she manages not to get bullied as badly as either Ralph or Martin or the Germen Exchange student (probably because she’s not a geek. There’s a big difference between a nerd and a geek, you know.) She has her own flaws, like jealously and a competitive streak and overconfident arrogance—these usually being related to her remarkable intellect; but unlike her father, she remembers the vital lessons she learns as she grows older.
I think Bart Simpson is actually quite an admirable character, for his willful freedom, and light-hearted attitude to life. His young age, and his lack of obvious cleverness in comparison to his sister, makes his ability to learn important moral lessons far more significant. He’s a more realistic character, also, considering his age.

Welcome to The Green Front. When you're ready, please feel free to step through. And don't forget, mind your head...
A characteristic of the Imminent Minion is to snort perversely, in which pieces of stinking crud fly from his antagonistic nostrils straight towards the nearest unsuspecting bystander, at a speed rate equal to that of a racing bee being chased by a grizzly bear galloping at a velocity approximately in tune with a smelly shit falling from a chocolate star compulsively driven by the irresistible force of gravity.
The Fool who believes this was supposed to make sense, is, well, a bit of a Fool.
Mr Green is short.
Mr Green is yellow.
For most of her active life, Mr Green remsembles a pear.
Mr Green likes to learn.
Mr Green hates to study.
Mr Green is somewhat of a pedant.
Mr Green stacks her CDs in alphabetical order according to artist name ... what of it?!
Mr Green is the laziest arse ever born.
Mr Green is a perfectionist.
Mr Green is a procrastinator.
Mr Green is not unaware of the above contradition(s).
Consult Mr Green if you want many examples of spoonerism.
One day, Mr Green will rule the Southern Diatomical Dimension (situated in WA, of course), with the peaceful, wise, and highly infallible stromatolites as her underdogs.
Mr Green absolutely loathes MySpace ... Well, she used to.
If you were wise like all the others, you would GO NOW.
To any bands or musicians sending me an Add Request:
I always try my best to listen to profile songs before accepting friend requests from bands, and I will usually give a constructive comment along with it. Considering the effort you put into writing and performing and putting your work out there, it only seems fair and decent to me to show a bit of appreciation back.
However, sometimes the requests do pile up and I just don't have time to listen to every band properly before MySpace automatically deletes them from my list. So if you've added me, and it's been about a week and I still haven't added you back, just try again. :-)
Cheers.
Who I'd like to meet: Aslan.
Perceval il Galois.
For the observant, I will clarify right now, before you ask, that this does not mean that I am Christian. I'd like to meet these two imaginary, fictional beings because they provide escapism, and thinking about them fuels the occasional wistful daydream.
I'd also like to meet all the people in my Heroes List.
I'd also like to meet just about every band or musician whose music has fulfilled me in some way - happiness, contentment, enlightenment, discovery, satisfaction, emotion, beauty, terror, fear, discovery ... and any other appropriate adjectives that you can think of.
Hey there Mr. Green, long time no speak! How's life been treating you?!
I am taking a gamble here, on the possibility that the end of my 1,769,017-year-long-tunnel-of-seclusion (and finally a real honest-to-God Album Release Date to show for it!) might perhaps be reason enough to check in and say HELLO? :>
It would be an honor to have you on board...
...well either way I'm saying HELLO!
Hope all is well ...
Best,
Doug
PS oops almost forgot - my facebook, for good measure (if you want):
This show will be the first
Australian east coast performance by the recently announced new lineup of The

and one of the final shows before THE AMENTA embark on a six week tour of North
America with VADER, DECREPIT BIRTH, AUGURY, WARBRINGER and SUCCESS WILL WRITE
APOKALYPSE ACROSS THE SKY.
Thanks for the kind words! We did indeed put a lot of effort in terms of selecting riffs and quite a few of the songs went through a number of changes to finally become what you hear on the album. :)
It’s unfortunate that you were unable to attend the gig in Sydney; however, I daresay we’ll be making another visit at some point in the future. There are a number of live videos on YouTube which sometimes get posted after gigs so you’ll always have that if you need a bit of a live fix. :p
You're right, there are a few less twin guitars on this album - however, still quite a few - Outlive the Hand has some, Sun's delusion starts with a nice twin passage, Held in Hollows has a few great twin guitar riffs, and Countless Skies has some epic twin guitar sections! I hope you enjoy the album.
Steve.
P.S. Did you know that you are by far our most pedantic fan? :P (this means you would probably fit in well as a member of Be'lakor haha)
We're playing our comeback show at the Excelsior Hotel in Surry Hills, Sat May 30, 9:30pm. Do come down if you can and see what changes have been made. Should be good.
just two weeks till progfest! we are playing on the saturday, alongside terrific bands like eleventh he reaches london, rook, ne obliviscaris, mushroom giant and many more. we will also have our new cd and a re-pressing of our sold-out EP.
Hey, thanks a heap - glad you are finding the album enjoyable and valuable - we worked really hard to make sure it was a very rewarding piece of work :)
Thanks for the comment a while back, I'm on a bit of a mission this year to get to know people who visit my page - If you get a chance come and join the conversation on my blog.
Hope its ok if i leave this music player here?
Anyway stay in touch - I really value your correspondence.
Yeah, I knew what you meant. Just couldn't pass up the opportunity to pick on you! :P
Haha. I'm imagining he's saying it in a prepubescent voice. <_<
Well, it's true! :P Again, as I always say, e-affection will have to do! *gives you the most eaffection possible between to asterisks* :P :)
You discussed graphic novels/comics in an English class? Nice! Your description makes sense, though. I can't think of any graphic novels that are intended for kiddies. Not saying there aren't any, mind you. :P Yeah, V and Watchmen are graphic novels. :) Well, both were serialized; V in a British comic magazine who's name I can't remember, and the Watchmen were divvied up in 12 monthly magazines.
Still, Jon is a contraction of Jonathan. "Jonathan" is a hell of a lot longer than just "John." :P John is my grandfather's name. So, I like that I was (middle-)named after him, and I like my name in general. Still, it's a pretty stereotypical white name. :P
You don't need any prompting to injury yourself, eh? How about to injure yourself? :P
I'd ask him/her what it's like to be stuck as a 12 year old perpetually. :P
Hopefully sooner rather than later! :P
I think you said last when you watched it, but how'd you like Astroboy? And did you watch Felix yet?
I've still a whack of Sonic the Hedgehog comics somewhere in my house. Those are just my graphic novels. I don't know what the differences are between comics and graphic novels, outside the latter being larger. :P
Hey, I still act childish! :P And I'm supposedly an adult... <_<
I like your middle names much better than mine - John. :)
Haha. You should get injured more - at least you'd be more punctual with your MS (and other! :P) comments. *just kidding hugs*
I'm trying to imagine an 80 year old who hasn't went through puberty yet...
Aww. If it were any cheaper, I'd invite you over to come play Guitar Hero with me. I'd still invite you over to do so when you *do* decide to show up 'round here, of course. :P And I should read more, and I should read some Roald Dahl books...
Wait, you've almost got two - what, with preordering V! :P
Have you watched either Felix or Astroboy yet?
Why not? :o Also, I loved Spirited Away. Great movie. Should go watch it again soon... :)
Also, you're always talking nonsense! :P *just kidding hugs* I'm all about the lame jokes! <_<
