The Dodo Reale was born in Luanda, the capital of Angola, in December 2000. Eight years on, in 2008, Dodo Reale is an afroindiepop duo composed of Dodo aka FABRIZIO DAL BORGO, songwriter, voice and guitar player, a mestizo soul still under the spell of the 5 years spent in Africa, and PATRIZIA FERRARINI, a Brazilian heart lost in the middle of Emilia Romagna (Italy) on surdo drums, berimbau, djembe, udu and colors, her favourite percussion instruments.

Dodo has been a member of Banda Larga (including former musicians of Modena City Ramblers and Caravan de Ville). Patrizia has been playing for many years with Accademia do Ritmo Afroeira (Bologna), a prominent Italian orchestra of Afrobrazilian percussions, and collaborates with the Coro di M..

DR has attended important exhibitions such as Popkomm 2007 and MEI 2007 where they were invited to present their showcase. DR have also collaborated with various indie associations: Sub, Solo Roba Nostra, Sonoramente, Che torni Babele, Psichezenobia and NNARP, an Angolan NGO. =======
In Angola DR played in the presence of the Angolan First Lady, Ana Paula Dos Santos, on the TPA (Televisão Publica de Angola) and at the Residence of the Italian Embassador.
