** NOW BOOKING! **
Ok, so it seems like it's way off, but with the Interkonnect folks hanging up their boots the boss man seems to think it's time to start thinking about who the hell is going to play next year.
So - Suggestions? Wishlists (within reason!)? Post 'em here or email thedogpub@hotmail.com
** ROCK STAR SEAL OF APPROVAL! **
Conor from Holy Ghost Revival chatted to your favourite local newspaper this week. Here's what he had to say about the forthcoming gig:
"I think it’s our fourth time at the Dog and Partridge, whenever we’re on tour in the country we try and make it a point to get over there and play, it’s a good atmosphere and there’s some cool cats hanging around and rocking out..."
"Bolton almost feels like a little suburb of Seattle in a way, it’s a small beer-drinking community and we really like that."
PLUS Sunday acoustic open-mic sessions, Thursday rock nights, Badvibes, T.R.A.S.H Your Life and Black Forest Ghetto.

About me:
The Dog and Partridge is Bolton's original (and best) live music venue. If you hate hearing Oasis four times in an hour, if you care about music, if you're a band that wants to play somewhere you can be guaranteed a warm welcome and a decent PA then the Dog and Partridge is the spiritual home you might not have found yet.Every Sunday is acoustic night - for a taster watch here:
Don McColl - Handlebars
Heather and Gab - Beach Song
The Bigsby Brothers - Less Kebabs
All videos thanks to Eric Lever - for more information and videos visit Bolton Acoustics on YouTube, or their official website.
***** MYSTERY! *****
Does anyone have any more details about this, printed in November 1998?:
They're having a hi-tec time at the Dog and Partridge
"Regulars have already found plans and 18th century documents including a last will and testament in which the pub was bequeathed on a 900 year lease at £50 per year.
"Historical details about the stables have revealed that what is now the pub hall-way used to be a ginnel which horses passed through.
"And according to local folk-lore when the circus was in town elephants were also looked after in the stables -- that is why the building has the largest single pub front door in Bolton!"
The website doesn't work any more as it was created 10 years ago - but it certainly sounds like an interesting project!
