Will says, "Texas music is my thang. I like blues/rock/country and some bluegrass thrown in for good measure. I play bass, guitar, mandolin, banjo, clarinet, drums, and some keys. I also do the engineering and recording bit. I recorded the songs that you hear on myspace.com/WillySteve and myspace.com/SweepinCoolJack I've recorded many other bands, but I'm currently concentrating on the new CD for DigDownDeep (formerly SweepinCoolJack) to be titled Fender Lickin' Good. I play in several bands including AJ&BlueRoux, DigDownDeep, TrickBag, and the Trinity River Blues Band. I do step in and sub for other bands like Cuzn Don & the Rhythm Method, BB Campbell & the Hambones, and the Silvertones. I write some songs myself but I enjoy cowriting with a group of guys that I am proud to be associated with: "Willy" Steve Hendricks, Keith Langley, Jackie Adams, Mike Mullins, and Kenny Reed. At the same time, Bob Dylan, John Mellencamp, and Elvis Costello shocked me with the sheer numbers of songs they wrote. John Hyatt, Steve Earle and Chip Taylor; all are songwriters songwriters.
