The ceildih band line-up features Richard; Tony, Clare; Dave, Pete W and various combinations of the Bongo Boys (Darren, Alan and Peter Y) depending on the prevailing wind direction. Cath Bertrand, Sue Humphries and Tony P share calling duties based around the promoters style preferences: pro dancers and energetic amateurs (Cath/Sue); wild and dangerous (Tony P and Tony Frasier)

Depends who you are asking but there is general agreement amongst the Dogs that Moving Hearts, Salsa-Celtica; Afro-Celt Sound System; Show of Hands, Loreena McKennit and the like are in there somewhere...but then so are Eric Roche, Billy Thompson, The Devlins, Tom Waits, John Martyn and Kevin Coyne if you dig deep enough

Doghouse is a collective of musicians from the herts and essex border country playing celtic-latin influenced traditional english, scottish and irish tunes with original material from the pens of songwriters Tony Phillips and Colin Taylor. Formed originally as a ceilidh band in 1999, the line up has expanded to it's present 13 strong pack. Members of the collective follow a variety of other projects and collaborations, coming back to the kennels for a series of special gigs throughout the year, including regular slots at the Stortford Music Festival, Cluzion Club, Woodfest and Cedar Park sessions.
Our new EP "Lights! Camera! Action!" is now on myspace, and will only be available (in the meantime) at any of the upcoming gigs we're playing, the first being Thursday 12th June at Remix in Hitchin. See flyer below for details, and other gig dates..
