Pardon me while I use this here space to display some a the magnum opuses I created for my ol pal Peter Gabriel's realworldremixed site. To say me and ol Pete share a "special" relationship is sorta like tryin to describe Moe's relationship to Curly. . .let alone Larry! Anywhoo, here's some remixes of tunes that were made available on ol Pete's site. I do encourage ya to go on over to www.realworldremixed.com and check out the original songs (on the download tab) to see just how mangled they are now. Hope ya enjoy but ifn ya don't, just keep it to yorself as negativism gives me gas.
Ya'll come back now, ya heah!
Wail, due ta my world-wide-mega-supra-stardomhood I'm shore you are already way more familiar with me than you'd actually care to be. Or are ya? And, yea, maybe there's a few sick-and-shut-ins, stragglers and moon-calves who have yet to be clued to the new direction. Alright, I'm easy. But ifn I use words like "talented multi-instrumentalist singer-songwriter producer and remixer" as most of the unwashed insists on callin me I get sick at my stomach. Why, I could not say, as that is a purty accurate description. Plus, and ifn it means anythang in the world to ya, I'm as crazy as a "peach orchard boar". So check in often. Nothing is constant and, as my old friend Walt Whitman said about me one time, "He is large, he contains multitudes". I ain't lyin, junior.
Quack! Hey there... I've been sidelined from remixing lately myself due to a combo of equipment death and financial straits, but I'll be back eventually; been keeping my ear to the ccMixter-ground in the meantime. As for Parisian phone booths... I'm innocent, I tells ya, INNOCENT!
C'mon, Mista Riley! You know I gotta let the Universe know when I'm hanging out with one of the Masters! I may be weird but I ain't stoopid! For the moment, anyhow....
Hey Dog! Noticed that one of your "friends" is Bill Botrell. I'm so upset that he didn't end up producing Seal's last album. I'm a huge Seal fan but not of album 4 and 5. The last was exceptionally pathetic and cheap. I can only think of how Seal and Botrell would have sounded. I emailed Bill and he actually responded saying that Seal wasn't happy with the direction of the album so he switched to a cheese ass dance producer instead. Don't get me wrong...I love a lot of club music but this was wrong call. Do you also know the story of Botrell and Michael Jackson's "Earth Song" ?
Ah yes! The Master has deigned to chill with the mere mortals! How do, Sir?!? Hope all is good in the Boondocks where you create and conjure. Glad to see you in the Space that is mine! Excelsior!!!
Gosh, you did it!!! Thank you!!! I'll drink a martini on that. Or two (you see: the second one is the one for you, but it's easier if I drink it myself. Is it?)
Fan of yours from the first monkey-mix over at 'you-know-where'.
