Weight now to be about 70+ lbs 30" high. The other pup found had been sold and he has a good home. So who ever has Smiley probably does not knows he was stolen. But I believe they have a right to know. As we should be let know that he is safe and loved. ************************************************************** Many dogs are picked up every week by animal control. Pit Bull mixes alone I would guess 20 are brought in every week. There are not enough homes. 1 out of 20 maybe adopted, 19 will be destroyed, and a new week begins. Destroyed is so heart breaking, but at least they were not sent to animal testing as many unwanted pets maybe. In fact that is what I have been told that is done with many stolen dogs. True or not, I am not sure but if someone would steal a puppy to sell for $50. I have to ask would someone steal a dog for $100 to sell for testing? A person stealing a dog and selling it has one thing in mind - making money. The dog / pet is no different than a stolen bike to a thief or the law. ************************************************************** Hoping to reach whom ever has Smiley. Looking at the numbers most pets do not stay in one home forever. We home they have a heart and return him to us. ************************************************************** Puppies grow up and 1 out of 10 will keep its home. The other 9 ends up at animal control dropped off like disposable toys. ************************************************************** Wish anyone that breeds or thinks about breeding would go volunteering for a few weeks. If they don't have time, just visit 2 Saturdays in a row. Count how many of your breed there are, and note that and the age. I would bet you would stop breeding and open a rescue for your breed. ************************************************************** It is so heart breaking to walk away from these dogs. Most are 6 months to 2 years old, still puppies but with adult looking bodies. When I look at them, I have to ask if they had been stolen from a family just like Smiley. Most of these dogs will be destroyed because there are not enough homes. So sad people loved them as pups but then I guess their lives change. There are just not enough homes. ************************************************************** We understand to some he is just a dog. But for us it feels like a child was taken and for his mother it was a baby stolen. I understand a dog is nothing more than a bike in regards to the laws. But that is part of the problem in our society, total disregard for other living beings. To me she was abused when she was dumped and abandoned with nothing to eat or drink for who knows how long. And to have her puppy ripped away from her as was done was even more abuse she endured. For that reason alone I believe she deserves peace to know her baby is okay. Treating animals as if they are just a piece of property is just not fair. It is that ignorance that serial killers come about so I have read. ************************************************************** Read that mental health professionals and top law enforcement officials consider animal abuse to be a red flag. *Most serial killers all had histories of abusing and killing animals before progressing to human victims. ************************************************************** Only hope no one reading this ever feels the pain that we are feeling. We appreciate people offering us other puppies. We hope they get a good homes. It would be just to much if this happen to another beloved pet. The thieves will not get another puppy from us. We have a dog his mom that was abandoned in 2007. She was estimated to be 2 and spayed. She cried and would not eat for a week when Smiley was stolen. This has changed her and it has changed us. She is now spayed. ************************************************************** Have had people say things like “God would not have let this happen if it was not meant to be. Please forgive me, that is no comfort to me. God is not the reason for any of the evil going on in this world. This was an evil act and we need everyone praying for him to be safe. And to those who say we will never see Smiley again he is gone. They must not know God. With God all can be done. Unless they did something to him. Please keep us in your prayers and help show these people all can be done thru our Lord! ************************************************************** Do not want to be annoying anyone. Just want people to keep Smiley in mind. He is out there somewhere and someone knows where he is. Just hoping to reach them or if they know. Hoping they grow a heart. ************************************************************** For many folks adopting another dog and saving its life is probably a wonderful idea. But for us we have another dog and this also about doing what is right by her. She was devastated by this and has been thru enough by ignorance. This puppy was not adopted out he was ripped from her side. She deserves to see he is safe to. No I am not crazy – all living beings feel pain and miss loved ones. What would think if you seen her sleeping with his favorite toy last night. Looked like something a mother would do if you ask me. But I am no expert. I am just a person and to me to give up on finding him is like saying it is okay to steal pets from people. It is not okay to me and I will never say it is. ************************************************************** Any time a dog missing or lost that is a red flag to me. I personally have never known of a dog not to return home. Dogs run off to play or of fear, but they will always return home. If they do not return home I think there is a reason: they are hurt, stuck some where, at a shelter, in another home, stolen or dead. More than likely someone or something is not letting them go home. Smiley was a puppy and was to young to know how to get home. So he needs everyone to please keep a look out for him and help him get home. But most dogs will stay where they are stranded or try to make it home. Most of us have seen movies like homeward bound and Benji. Pets are really that smart if we only realized that. They will do what ever it takes normally to get back home. So we should do the same to help them as best as we can to get home safe. Appreciate every one out there helping them. ************************************************************** Smiley Details

THERE IS NO WAY A LIVING BEING IS ABDUCTED AND HAS NOT AT BARE MINIMUM SUFFERED EMOTIONAL ABUSE. ANIMAL THEFT IS ANIMAL ABUSE - TO BAD OUR LAWS DO NOT SEEM TO SEE IT THAT WAY.
