RC Dog	Mar 22 2008 6:11 PM Happy Easter I am always thinking about the origins as well as the meaning of holidays and words. After trying to find something to say about Easter it just came to me while in my front yard with the dogs. I have been getting many comments wishing a Happy Spring instead of Happy Easter. While training dogs today the wisdom of a splendid old locust tree helped me reinterpreted Easter’s death and resurrection story. I have noticed for sometime this tree that I so admire has lost all its leaves as well as last years fruit, but today it’s quite clear that my deep rooted friend is in a state of rebirth. From the death of winter the old sage springs back to life, with renewed vigor. My majestic old friend is coming back to life with all its glory and wonder. Isn’t nature amazing? In its own right the rebirth of spring is truly a beautiful miracle. Since we are going to have our presidential elections soon I originally wanted to use the elections and politics as a subject for my Easter message. This is as far as I got on that one. While only a quote, it is something all the political animals should be aware of. Political moral lessons of the Easter Story The current batch of politicians around the world can learn an important moral lesson from the Easter story by remembering the wise words of Clarence W. Hall “Easter says you can put truth in a grave, but it won't stay there” Remember that human nature is just as important as the nature of facts found in science. Wishing you a wonderful Happy Easter
