Do you know how to Party? Sacramento sisters Gwendolyn and Lucy Giles do. At the ages of 13 and 11 years this guitar, drum, and vocal two piece known simply as Dog Party have shown people that Rock n' Roll is fun for the whole family. They started ripping up their Elementary School, rocking local parks, paying clubs, or just being fun goofy kids is putting smiles on faces from all ages. They have shared the stage with Agent Orange, rocked the California State Capital, and have been featured on world famous indie 103.1's Suicide Girls Radio show. The two young rockers write their own songs, sing harmony, and tear it up on the Squaw Valley ski team. Dog Party has currently just released their debut with Half of Nothing Records, a ripping journey of original songs about school, parents, and the joy's and frustrations of growing up in the U.S.A.

White Stipes, Black Keys, The Breeders, The Vivian Girls, The Beatles, X, The Clash - so much great music everywhere!!!
Well, I picked up the new CD at the Beat on Saturday and listened to the whole thing on my way to Supercuts and back that evening. (They turned out to be closed when I got there, unfortunately.) I had heard all of the songs before during lives shows and through MySpace, but rockin' tunes are all the more rockin' when I listen to 'em in my car, so I had a blast diggin' your sound during what would have normally been a complete waste of time. You got an instant classic on your hands, ladies!
Hey guys, if you have the time, please support me by voting for me at http://www.myspace.com/sacshows. I was nominated in the Sac Show Awards recently, and they have a survey you can fill out.
However, if you're busy, no worries. Just trying to get some friends to pitch into the effort with me. :)
