Started in 99, ended in 04. Did bout 160 gigs mostly in the UK but some in other european countries and the band finished in sept/oct 2004 after a 2 week tour of China, not the first foreign punk band to play in China but the first to do a tour of this massive country. Completely in active in 2005 but in 2006 3 of the band plus D'Corner Bois lead guitarist got together to record some songs for Middleground 3 because for one the band finished before it should have due to an endless cycle of problomatic members and two the band had been on the previous Middleground's and as 3 completes the trilogy it made sense to do. The band was asked to do some gigs and did three, 2 good ones and a shite one and now having recorded the new songs the band are finished again and hopefully this time for good, let sleeping dogshit's lie.

This is a compilation of various tracks by one of the best named punk bands to have ever existed - DOGSHIT SANDWICH! This is honest to goodness DIY punk, so don't expect PINK FLOYD type production values, although the quality of the recordings does improve over the course of the CD. There is enough silliness to compliment the politics, and there is even an interview tacked on the end. If you need musical comparisons, I'd have to say screaming hardcore punk from the mid to late 1980's Britain. I have to say "3 Years of Dogshit Sandwich" has grown on me!
