Formed in Newcastle in March 2001, Dogtide are on a mission to bring their own brand of alt: metal to the masses :::
Together with frequent headliner slots in and around the North East of England, the band have performed as special guests to national touring bands such as Trash Light Vision, 4 Foot Fingers, and Nerve. In fact they made such a huge impression on American metal band All The Pretty Horses, that they were asked to support them for the entire Northern leg of their 2003 UK tour :::
The band have been in the studio for a over a year recording their new album. This self titled album so intense and explosive, yet beautifully crafted, produced and inspired, that it is sure to send a quiver of excitement down the spines of their many fans when it is released in the very near future. The new collection of material reflects the bands new found maturity in both their sound and performance :::

1. We are in the process of doing another 1,000 copy professional-grade compilation CD. Please check our page and email us for more details.
2. The MNR/Cellar Records band Loci (IL) is looking for 2 more members, a serious guitarist and bass player between 21-28, so they can start to play live. An entire CD worth of material is written and ready to be recorded and toured. More details are on our page.

We moved the dates back on both compilations because we always strive to do things right. One of our acts got a 2 CD deal, and with all the commotion we haven’t had time to get things in order and advertise like we should. We are extremely happy for them and wish them all the best of luck with no ill-will whatsoever!
8 of 18 slots are still open on our metal/rock compilation and we would like to fill them all by January 29th. If you or anyone you know would be interested please point them in our direction. (We also have an Acoustic/mellow comp in the works...) This is not a free service – lots of bands ask us to do free stuff for them and the answer is always the same.
