Hey, I'm Dolbro Dan. My name means I play a 'dobro' resonator guitar but I don't wanna get sued by Gibson for using their copyright protected household name. Moving on...
I live in Northern Ireland. I started learning guitar by playing in punk/grunge bands before listening to Bob Dylan whereupon I started learning real chords with finger picking and harmonica.
As a songwriter I have a refined technique; typically the lyrics begin as random scribbles, littering the bedroom where I strum an ol' acoustic until they're actually finished songs. Last year I recorded a whole album of actually finished songs which you can buy online or at gigs.
Currently I'm in the process of gathering up the new scraps of paper in order to distill and produce what is apparently classified as Alternative Folk. If you like alternative folk music and would like to own some of mine then use the Paypal buttons below to purchase the CD album (comes with free stickers). Sorry still no digital version available but there's mp3s for free if you only need a little dolbro dan.
ALSO if you own a record player then good for you! Keep reading...
Coming soon...
A limited edition double A-side DIY 7" vinyl of Greatness! Oh Joy.
AND if you are rich and reading this you can provide patronage to this worthing cause by donating money to me, again via Paypal. Naturally your generosity will be accredited on the record sleeve.
FINALLY if you'd like me to perform in your studium, concert hall, bandstand, bar or backroom I only need money, free booze and a bed for the night.
Thanks for Visiting!!

'Don't miss acoustic folk-minded Dolbro Dan whose musical maturity belies his tender years' Patric Baird, Belfast Telegraph
'It's old music but it's actually new music - sounding like old music - but I like it!' Gerry Anderson, BBC Radio Ulster
'He can belt out a tune! I fancy him as being a young, budding Dylan songwriter' George Jones, U105 Radio
'...Something quite spectacular and unexpected... Daniel's songs are simple but effective strummers with charming self-referential ruminations. There's a great sense of self-deprecating humour and fun with a keen handle on when to play it entirely straight too' Alternative Ulster
