SOME GOOD MUSIC!
I was given a nickname by a major studio owner, "THE SONGMAKER". Being a life long musician/songwriter, I felt that this was one of the highest compliments one could receive!
I was born in Springfield, Ohio and played lead guitar (as aell as many other instruments) in a few well known bands such as Scram, No Reason, beards ghetto and The Press. All 4 bands getting a lot of attention in their day with WTUE 104.7 and WAZU 102.9 airplay and Home Grown projects. Recently, some of these have been or about to be re-released on Retrospectrecords.com which is the world's largest Indie label, specializing in 80's and 90's classic rock.
Being gifted with the art of music, I feel that it is my duty to use my talents and give back, if I am lucky enough to get you people to buy my music. I hope to be in a position soon to be able to feed and help as many children as I can. It makes me sad to know we live in a world where there are children dying everyday needlessly. It's up to all of us who can to give back! We should all be involved!
I own my own record label, (BUGZY PEPPER RECORDS) and I am currently working on larger labels for distribution deals. As a multi-musician, composer, producer, engineer, performer, arranger and teacher, I have recorded over 500 records/cds/demos producing, engineering, composing, arranging and performing on many of them. I have composed and produced 1000's of radio and video/TV commercials and several short films. My education and experience consist of 2 Associate Degrees in audio recording and video/TV production, certified by digi-design for pro-tools, several teaching development programs and over 25 years in the recording business. I have won many awards including 2 TELLY awards and 1 DAVEY award. I also was the Director of the Audio Department at The International College Of Broadcasting for 8 years.
I have co-composed, recorded and performed with many great artist. Some of my favorites are Gary Nickell, Rob Myers, Kenny Aronhalt, Jeff Gastineau just to name a few. Gray & I have a special ability to write well & fast as Rob & I have composed some great songs with a lot of meaning as well as Kenny & Jeff. These guys together would be the creation of a SUPER GROUP! ALL OF US HAVE MADE THIS GREAT MUSIC TOGETHER!
For those of you who are/were fans of my last band, "TREES", I should announce that I have left the band and Trees no longer exist. I know many of you that believed in us will be disappointed but, even though it was a tough decision, I decided it was not the band for me. There was a lot of LOVE, sacrifice and hard work put into the band TREES but I am sure whatever I do next will only be better. I guess I wasted a little bit of my time but learned a big lesson. Really a sad story because as before, labels were showing interest and we made the top 25 CD's of 2007 in Dayton's local releases but egos got in the way and once again, someone else didn't get it.
