DOLEWITE & SCOOBY

.. Natives of Atlanta, GA., Dolewite and Scooby first met and began their radio careers on the campus of Georgia Southern University. Dolewite, a transfer student from M.I.T. had an afterhours radio show on the campus radio station, WVGS. Scooby, a transfer student athlete from the University of Michigan, who had recently lost his Baseball / Water Polo scholarship after testing positive for 2 types of anabolic steroids and some sort of a camel tranquilizer, soon joined Dolewite on the radio. They may have started in the middle of the night, but by the time they left GSU, they had become the 1st show in the schools history to be aired daily. While in school, the dynamic duo received 2 NAACP Essence Awards for their work in the community, a Grammy, 2 Golden Globes, a Soul Train award, an ESPY, a daytime Emmy, and an Oscar for best show EVER!!! After school, they moved their act back to their hometown of Atlanta, where they worked many of the nightclubs in the area and began interning at a local radio station. In December of 2001, Nashville’s brand new Hip Hop Station, 101.1 The beat Jamz, came calling for Dolewite and Scooby, so the team signed up. Since then, they have been the number 1 rated night show in middle TN, and have become a staple in the Nashville community. In addition to radio, they both find time to work on other projects. Dolewite is currently writing a children’s book about vegetarian children who fear cows in ancient Italy. Scooby is trying to find a studio for his untitled screenplay which he describes as a cross between Kill Bill, Rambo: First Blood, and the Notebook.
