Dollface is a truly modern pop star in the making. A talented singer, writer, musician and performer, her unique vision looks set to propel her into the pop stratosphere in 2010.
Born 22 years ago in Yorkshire, Yulanda's first musical inspiration came from the record collections of her Jamaican DJ father and music loving British mother, supplemented by sounds of the Top 40. This sowed the seeds of a love for both pop and club music that continues to this day.
Aged 12, her parents divorced and she moved down south with her mother. Much of her teenage years were spent studying dance, drama and music, and it soon became clear that there was only one career choice for Yulanda. Education behind her, she spent time as part of a 60s inspired girl group, but soon realised that her musical vision was more individual and more progressive - Dollface was born.
Currently collaborating with some of the most exciting producers and writers in pop, she is gathering an arsenal of songs that will make her an unstoppable force in 2010. Check out the first sonic salvos above, and be sure to come back soon to hear the latest from Dollface.
