Doll Hospital is the vaguely malformed brainchild of downtown N.Y.C. music-scene mainstay Heather Eatman. Featuring Heather on arch-top guitar and vocals, Nick Mancini on vibraphone, Andrew Burns on drums and Jim Whitney on string bass, this tiny wayward orchestra takes us on a swinging tour of the fevered mind of a songwriter who loves Raymond Chandler as much as Raymond Scott. A surrealistic biscuit-baker and a good-for-nothing alcoholic lounge singer are only two of the more colorful characters who populate these whimsical noir ditties taking us back to a time that never was, but perhaps should have been. Doll Hospital's eponymous debut CD was released May 2, 2006 and is available through Amazon.com and cdbaby.com.
Thanks for the add. Heather, Judy and I haven't seen you in ages but we still love you and your music and I promise to catch one of your gigs this year and review it at www.hoppersmusic.com
Warm Regards,
Big Bill (& Judy)
