I was born to two Hippie parents and grew up listening to all types of music. I have two sisters, one brother and a step brother. My mother was a singer songwriter in her youth who worked the coffee shop circuit from Lancaster to Los Angeles with her guitar and angelic vocals. My Father having been a music fanatic exposed me early on to 60's 70's rock and blues. I grew up listening to Johnny and Edgar Winter, Black Sabbath, Janis Joplin, Paul McCartney ect. The Rolling Stones and the Beatles being my Pop's favorites. My Mother loved The Moody Blues, Pink Floyd and the singer songwriters of the time, Carol King, Joni Mitchel ect. In the 80's she had a fanaticism of her own for Barbara Streisand, we used to sing together in the car, I think we listened to Guilty thousands of times; I know the words to those duets with Barry Gibb off the top of my head even now. When we were small at night she would come into our room, play the guitar and sing us to sleep.
I attended my first concert apparently before my first birthday with my Mother. I still have the stub; she saved it for me. It was to a Led Zepplin show and I cant tell you how many times I saw the Rolling stones with my Dad.
I knew I loved singing when I was a tiny tot but didnt have a chance to pursue it diligently until my early twenties. I love Music from every genre from the old Standards to Rock and Blues, to R&B, Soul Funk, Jazz, Underground, Dance/Electronic, Punk, Metal, Pop, Alternative and Indie; through each decade till now, although in my own writing I tend to lean toward headier/grungier music.
Im always open to working with other people; I love musicians AND producers and all their experience. Currently Im preparing for a radio performance but I can always make time to collaborate and throw ideas around! Send me an email if you feel so inclined...
Yeah.. funny... hehe... just cleaning house... I want to delete the profile completely but I can't bring myself to do it... YET! I'm working on it though :)
