About me: Ciao' everyone!! Here's a little bit about me. I'm an actress, singer, musician, composer and playwright. My writing partner Bert and I have had several jingles commissioned and produced in my recording studio called.....what else?...."DOLL HOUSE STUDIO". We also have written four all original childrens' stories complete with music and a book filled with beautiful artwork. But what is really our passion is our two full length, two-act musicals. One of our musicals was produced recently and is now ready to find a home near a theatre near you!
So let me tell you about it!
The first play is a musical comedy entitled "BACK-UP: THE LEGENDARY MUSICAL". The plot is very simple. It's about a reunion of former singer/dancers who all worked for a famous musical legend, Maggie Joseph, who has recently
died! We visit the lives, the drama and everything in between. Songs are sung, Mud is slung, Names are called but who in this group is above reproach....or a little bit of scandal? It's easy to cast and simple to costume. It all takes place on one set and is comprised of a cast of 11 characaters. The music can be played with pre-recorded tracks, a rhythm section or an accomplished pianist.
The second play is a musical drama. It is called "ART VS. LIFE". This is about Bohemian painters in the 1930's Berlin battling the strict morality of the time. No rules, no limitations and no safe haven anywhere...the art world was rebelling while a madman was coming into power. This was an infamous time that painted a blood-stained blot on humanity forever!
