Zoals sommigen van jullie al hebben vernomen zijn wij vorig jaar oktober door LiveXS en Dommelsch uitgeroepen tot Local Hero van de maand. De grote verkiezing van Local Hero van het jaar is van start gegaan! Wij zijn met 24 andere band geselecteerd uit duizenden bands om hier aan mee te doen.
Wij maken kans om een jaar lang te kunnen touren langs verschillende festivals en podia in Nederland en België. Om dit mogelijk te maken hebben wij jullie hulp heel erg hard nodig. Hieronder staat uitgelegd hoe je op ons kunt stemmen. De band met de meeste stemmen wint. Wij zijn jullie erg dankbaar!
Dollygrip plays alternative poprock. The band’s first recordings in 2000 and 2003 received enthusiastic reviews. They were support act for popular Dutch bands like Johan, Caesar and Daryll-Ann, and performed at ‘Paradiso’, ‘de Melkweg’ and ‘Parkpop’, amongst others. The lead singer – Eelco Romijn – also played at the final of ‘de Grote prijs van Nederland’ for singer songwriters in 2003. After a break from 2004 to 2007 the band picked up playing again and recorded 5 new songs. Their current repertoire still has the dreamy-vibe of the first recordings, but with a little more edge.
