If you haven't heard of the Dollz At Play by now then you've been hiding under a rock for the last years.
The Dollz At Play continue with their proliferation of the dance music world in their own unique style by completely capturing the imagination of the unsuspecting masses.
The Dollz hold down residencies at Superfreq London, which since the closure of The End, has moved to Paramount on Center Point & they also started their new Superfreq residency at another new club, BoHo in Ibiza this summer. On top of this, the Dollz are jet setting around the world to the far flung reaches of the planet, playing their own take on modern electronic dance music. Recently their travels have taken them as far afield as South America, Mexico, North America, China & Japan, as well as them hammering it all over Europe, winning the hearts & minds of the dancing public as they go.
The Dollz are very friendly creatures that always take time to be a part of the culture by getting involved in the dance music community. This means they're not afraid of enjoying themselves & can be seen spinning & partying in the most unlikely of places.
Since their rise & rise, the Dollz At Play have been picked up by some of the best DJ agencies in the world including www.wildebookings.com Worldwide, naomismart@gmail.com in Mexico & curley@itb.co.uk for the UK. They've become a sensation not only in the UK we're these Latinas are based, but also in Germany & France & continue to do 1 off shows in Italy, Spain, Holland, Belguim, Russia & Hong Kong among other countries.
They've also managed to grace the front cover of DJ Mag with a cover mount CD & are starting to pick up more attention, not only from the dance music press, but from the fashion & lifestyle press too.
The Dollz love to glam it up, but in the most fun way imaginable. They don't take themselves to seriously as fun really is the name of their game. Their whole ethos on spinning records is about entertaining people while pushing the envelope of electronic music. This means they love to take time with their look, as well as their music, to make sure they truly are Dollz when they get behind the decks, to mix up filthy underground electronic dance music. What more could one wish for? Watching the Dollz At Play mixing it how it should be mixed & having the maximum amount of fun in the process?
Now comes the really good news. The Dollz At Play, have at last, decided to get themselves into the studio & have been achieving some amazing results. So much so that they’re very 1st EP entitled “Oscura Wand in Paris”, is being released, late summer / early autumn 2009 on Wagon Repair Records both physically & digitally.
Exciting times are being had with this remarkable journey that is the Dollz at Play embark on... The future is theirs, the future is now!
