In November 2007, we supported The Wallflowers for 3 dates in the midwest. Special thanks to them for being great hosts and for having us along. Below are a couple clips taken by audience members at St. Paul's Fitzgerald Theatre, and Chicago's Park West Theatre. Thanks to Kathy Whalen for the Chi. footage. And to you, the cameraman at St.Paul.

Based in Alta, Wy. dolman, black, & the brain formed in the summer of 2007. Consisting of Ken Dolman on vocals and guitar, Micah Black on drums and Dave "The Brain" Reetz on bass and keys they got together, along with Brian "Menace" McGrath, to support Ken's self titled solo album- dolman- with a CD release at Big Hole Music in Driggs, ID
dolman, Produced by Greg Richling, (The Wallflowers, Fiona Apple) is lyrically incisive while maintaining a sense of humor in its' outlook on modern life. The album has met a good response with 2 songs off the album being selected for films. Teton Gravity Research chose "Walls of Rock and Roll" for a segment in its' latest ski movie "Lost & Found," and Greg Stump used "Little Man in a Big House", with dolman, black, & the brain on camera for his upcoming film " Legends of Ahhhhs".
dolman, black, & the brain's live set expanded to include new originals. Appearances at Victor, ID's Knotty Pine open mic led to an opening slot for TGR's "Lost & Found" premiere at the Mangy Moose in Teton Village, WY. Video from that helped convince The Wallflowers to take the band out as a support act for their November 2007 midwest tour. The band is currently booking Rocky Mountain shows, staying close to their ski roots.
A little about the band members:
Ken Dolman was frontman and songwriter in No North, a Los Angeles band, whose albums drew critical praise and won them a record contract with Country Fire Records in the UK, and Kitty-Yo in Berlin. A 2005 UK tour and release of "Beyond the Black" included a top 30 album on iTunes, and international press in Mojo Magazine, and Maverick. In the US, they found opening slots with greats like: Daniel Lanois, Mike Watt, Stan Ridgeway, and were invited to perform at South By Southwest 2006.
Micah Black is perhaps better known for 12 years as a pioneer in big mountain extreme skiing. His musical talents were quickly noticed in Teton Valley where he supplied the beat for Brad Sterling's Order Among Chaos and continues to do so with Rocknutz.
Dave "the Brain" Reetz is known to slide from keys, guitar, bass, and a beer seemlessly all in one refrain. He's the brains behind the rhythm and was also recruited for the Jeff Lord-Alge produced Order Among Chaos, and the Brad Sterling projects.
