Yes please, all sorts... although no thanks to most of the cruddy bands that try to be my friend here.
Movies
I have a vast chasm in my memory when it comes to films. I don't remember film titles, plots, or actors/actresses names.
Television
Boring.
Books
Shamefully, I readily admit that I don't read nearly enough. I'd rather be DOING something than reading something, but I know that is still a very poor excuse.
Heroes
Zip. [[[That means nowt, not Zippy from Rainbow]]]

I played sax for a chunk of the CHROME HOOF European tour from 20 Feb - 8 March(HOLLAND, BELGIUM, GERMANY, ITALY, SWITZWERLAND, FRANCE). Massive thanks to them all for having me on board, it was a right good laugh and a joy to take a break from driving! Here is a clip of me playing with them, though it's really bad quality and I'm just off screen for most of it, hah.... Chrome Hoof - Tilburg 013, 22 Feb
etc etc etc etc.
in the rest of my time, i will be found listening to music, tootling my clarinet, honking and skronking my sax, or twinkling my ivories (plastic). eating vegan feasts. putting on DIY gigs in leeds (sadly, increasingly less common as i'm so busy being away on tour). releasing records. making websites. going to gigs. volunteering in my local community. reading about politics and the environment, generally getting angry at the state of the world whilst trying to overcome my short concentration span and remain positive and active.
CHINCHILLA-TONE have releases out such as the new CLECKHUDDERSFAX album on CD, a cassette album by PIFCO, and the debut 'PINE CONE EXPRESS' COWTOWN album on CD!
we also run a non-profit distribution of records from the chinchilla label, friends' labels, bands i've toured with, and stuff we've picked up from bands that we like... you can find the cheaply priced records (vinyl, cd, tape, etc) at any of the gigs i'm at.
please give preference to and look at proper websites, they are better than this homogenous s(h)ite.
the bands/music that i'm involved in creating are....
CHOPS - split 12" with HELHESTEN out on Upset! The Rhythm Records released Sept 2008. Get in touch with me if you want us to play a gig or anywhere inappropriate.
I have also performed with Damo Suzuki, Chris Corsano, Mick Beck, Chora, Serfs, made brief appearances in Tigers! and Action Beat, as well as a short stint playing sax in Chrome Hoof around Europe in early 2008.
below is a video of me (vintage alto sax, electronics, fuck off massive amplification) and matt woodward (of cissy, the dragon rapide, the lapse, kito, etc on barely audible jazz drums) playing as SENSE OR THIS? at chinchillafest 2007, recorded by nick from golden lab (thanks!)................
The only Howling Hex record to be released on a label other than Drag City. Four tracks penned by Neil Hagerty, the rest of the total twelve by a variety of unknown collaborators - all produced by Hagerty, all weird and incredible. There's bits of bizarre sound art, broken poetry, a coulda-been-a-90s-dance-anthem, rock songs, a ballad, and tons of sweet guitar playing. The title track alone is worth the price of the record, with its haunting, counter-melodic, phasing synth and guitar arrangement.
This is the first set from the slightly tweaked Beach Fuzz line-up with Fliss Horrocks now playing guitar alongside Tom Settle and Nick Mitchell. Seven tracks of clattering drums, chugging and wailing guitars, screaming keyboards, mellow, lilting pastoral improv and moaned vocals.

NEW HEAVY SOUNDS - A club night for those not afraid of aural assault!
A new night of heavy live sounds and DJs to match in a new venue as dark and loud as necessary.
Following the storming first night of New Heavy Sounds in September (with the marvellous BO-NINGEN headlining), we're super excited about the next NHS night, with zombie-baiting wonders CHICKENHAWK supported by the brilliant heavy garage of BAD FOR LAZARUS, the tight'n'heavy FRAFF and Cardiff's great STRANGE NEWS FROM ANOTHER STAR.
DJs include IGOR VOLK (NYPC / Diesel:U:Music Radio rock show) + STU PLIMSOLES. Visuals courtesy of image meister the k e r n s.
From Rock to Extreme Noise, Hardcore to Acid Rock, Grunge to Doom, Garage Rock to Stoner ie anything that is extreme rock'n'roll!!!
DECAPANTE play hella loud noise rock and hail from Madrid,
SPAIN. Their tunes are ultra sludgy, super slow and riddled with demonic slabs
of riff madness! They create this almighty racket harnessing the power of two
bass’s and a big old drum sound. Sorta remind me of the early Ruins/Melvins/Big
Business with hints of Shellac for good measure.
COWTOWN are three handsome young chipmunks with a taste for
party tunes and library jumpers. Recently described as Rod, Jane and Freddy
mixed with Melt Banana. New album ‘Excellent Domestic Short hair’ out soon.
Recorded at The Bowling Green pub in Manchester on 17th November 2008, when Bridget was on tour with Marcia Bassett, this is a maximal 25-minute set of epic guitar brutalising and deep, moaned vocal incantations. Employing a bow and 'metal' effects pedals, the resulting cacophony is orchestral in scope, rendering almost unreliable the memory of one woman and her instrument. Somewhat akin to Bassett's duo with Matthew Bower, Hototogisu, the deeply layered tones created by Hayden offer, upon first exposure, a somewhat icy auditory experience, but as the recording settles in, the richness and sheer breadth of sound wraps around you like a feather quilt and shifts your perception almost 180 degrees. A truly magnificent set from this former Vibracathedral Orchestra member.
